Increase revenues by offering a pay level that attracts qualified people to work the parts counter. The money lost from returns or bad sales practices due to lack of knowledge by associates is staggering. Choose a store and pay everyone $12+ an hour based on qualifications and see how impactful it is to a solid bottom line. I worked at store #6010 and my customer average was $150+ per hour due to my knowledge. This was 7 years ago and i only did this part time but i am confident in this strategy. Parts stores are nightmares due to the lack of training and professional development with their associates.
Ask yourself "is your leadership being felt all the way down to the store level ?". It is easy to become detached from that many levels that exist but are you leading in a way that you can see your leadership at work if you visit a store or warehouse?
