Work & Life Balance

Former oncsr
I liked my schedule. Pay was fair. The benefits there were some good and some not even mediocre at least for my situation. I was one of the last ONCSR's standing I feel for those who ended up with no notice that they were going to be laid off. Even though I was told after the first round of layoffs that I and the other overnighter at the store would be ok and hold onto our jobs it wasn't long after that we were laid-off too...just after my shift I was told outside at the parking lot as I was headed to my car to not come back bc rest of overnighters were being let go. I think the company people did alright with trying to get us info and cashing out some benefits so I am thankful for that...I would like to get the job back as an overnighter there. It wasn't perfect but it wasn't horrible either.

Engaging and strong, caring work culture
Love the benefits. The pressure is high to sell loans but the work atmosphere is nonetheless fun and engaging. Great management and culture. Before covid, it was easy to pick up overtime hours at other stores.

Company does not value customers
While the company does provide a service to people who may not be able to get money through a regular financial institution, the interest rates are outrageous. The image the owners of the company project is totally false. The are only interested in making money off of poor people

Retail store experience
If you like pushing high interest loans to low income families, this is a job for you. There if you sleep with or marry the regional manager, you too can be promoted. No one makes more than 18 dollars an hour. Hq is so much different. There aren't any lunch breaks and you must stand at all times. If you like to work overtime this is the spot for you. Good luck.

If you are not friends with the managers or owners of the company, your chances of advancement are slim.
