The company is going down hill the union don’t care bout the Employees like they should they just want your money and let the company dictate Them. Very high turn over rates . Very low pay definitely as a chemical operator start at 21 and Max’s out at 24 hr the company add more to all the jobs and responsibility but didn’t give the Employees more money or keep the money and the pay Grade the same

New management arrived 1.5 years ago with leadership practices that is outdated. Since their arrival, over 70+ employees have quit, retired early, or been terminated. Company has to backfill manpower shortages with contractors that are also looped in with the company’s high turnover rates and are also quitting or terminated frequently.

High level management employed a leadership team and HR manager that believe accountability, discipline, and firing is the quickest & only path to establish results by managing with a hammer fist. HR manager can be quoted as comparing employees to clowns, and at times celebrating their terminations with upper management.

Production rates are at their worst, while the safety record is also at it’s worst.

Plant manager and his leadership team doesn’t understand and doesn’t care that low employee morale impacts everything.

A typical work day can be trying some days. I learned to always take notes to prepared for upcoming test. The management team is great at helping you to accomplish your goals on the job. Great place to work and safety is always first.

Toxic morale and work environment.

This company will fire first and ask questions last. The plant is literally falling apart. People who work there for 20 and 30 years go to work every day scared that they’ll lose their job. Everyone there is unhappy and morale is low. Upper management has brainpower but no real grasp on what working there is actually like, and they’ll never take your word over anyone else’s. Every field supervisor will do what they can to protect themselves and cast blame on others. Work elsewhere, it’s probably safer and has a better “union”.

Advan six overall is a great place to work at but lacks management exoerience snd proper leadership.

A typical day at advan six is arriving and work 15 minutes early and attending a shift meeting which they give out the work load according to what class inside the plant you work. You work your eight hour shift and if they need mire help or short handed on the next shift they draft you to the next shift.

start shift with a tier meeting to discuss safety topics, plant productions issues, Assign work tasks to employees, the Electrical group, Millwrights, Instrumentation, Insulators and Pipefitters.

SAP Experience - Enter notifications, convert notification into work orders then approve the work order to get confirmation numbers to charge time to the project. Order parts through SAP.

Kronos. Time cards, verify time, make any changes, approve and signoff on all maintenance employee.

The company was previously known as Honeywell. They then spinned it off onto a stand alone company known as Advansix. When they changed the name everything else changed with it. The moral is kinda low now.

Has good pay, however its rotating swing shift with mandatory overtime. Bad health insurance that is extremely expensive and covers NOTHING. Too cheap to fix problems, wait for the little issues to make BIG issues then blame everyone but themselves for it not getting fixed earlier. Always short staffed.

It is good pay, and you do get paid weekly so at least there's that.

Company is striving for excellence at a rate that is causing some good, long and short term employees to leave the company willing and or unwilling..

In recent months, several or more new hires in salaried positions have quit within 3-6 weeks.

Following the separation from Honeywell there is a great deal of unfinished work. Production sites are underresourced and significant maintenance and upgrades were ignored for years. Solid business and profit potential once they phase out the legacy management that got them in this bind.

Senior Leadership micromanaging facility managers creates unnecessary confusion & stress.
Reactive, blame directed Management strategies create "chase your tail atmosphere" and low employee morale.
Union & Management can't get along.
Line Supervisors overworked and under resourced.
Weak HR and IT groups.
