Horrible pay
Dispensing Nurse (Former Employee) –  Fresno, CAJuly 5, 2018
This company does not give raises at all and only pay their nurses $17 hour. It’s totally not worth working there due to the low pay and horrible management. Overall I loved the patients and the work was very rewarding. If you’re looking for a temporary job it’s a good opportunity, not for a long term place of employment.
Pros
Experience with substance abuse

Medical Assistant (Former Employee) –  Modesto, CAMay 29, 2018
They have a big turn over and constantly are training new hires hard to keep a professional outlook with different personalities it's very clicky and young professionals out of school, Great first impression though and staff is pretty nice for the most part and works well together I think some staff will lead you wrong if they dont like you. Management doesn't stay neutral

Poor management and an undesirable place to work
Counselor (Former Employee) –  Chico, CAMay 17, 2018
This place only cares about money, the manager is unethical as she talks about other employees to other staff members, she is unreasonable and does not care about you. The male supervisor is unapproachable - Stay away from him! This is the reason for such a high turn over rate. Moral is very low because of management and I feel sorry for the other supervisor as she seems the only one trying to make it better.
Pros
The hours

Mental Health Clinician (Former Employee) –  Merced, CAMay 16, 2018
There are many hours available for clearing your license or certification. However, patients are scheduled back to back and the work hours are terrible.

Counselor (Former Employee) –  Chico, CAMay 11, 2018
This agency definitely cares more about upper management income levels and their bonuses. Great start to your career if you do not mind being thrown to the wolves. Management there offers no real training or even positive criticism. High turn over rate of counselors and staff. Lack of skill set for manager which makes difficulties for staff. Over worked and under paid.

Work hours

No proper training

Poor poor managment
Medical Assistant (Former Employee) –  Chico, CAApril 19, 2018
At first this place was a good place to start and get the experience needed as an intern. But once you actually work here for some time, you see what a mess this place actually is. The manager is bad at what she does. Her communication skills are poor. She talks bad about employees to other staff members. There is definitely favoritism between management and other staff. There is absolutely no room for growth and they find any little excuse to deny you a raise. This place is a JOKE!
Pros
The only pro is donuts on friday. HOW SAD

Counselor (Former Employee) –  Oxnard, CAMarch 26, 2018
Management is a fraud. Those who works as interns be careful working with unethical managements who breaks the law and ethics themselves. The management has very poor law and ethics standard.

The pay is horrible with little chance to advance. Too much is expected for the pay. It is a very stressful job. They do not appreciate hard work but are always saying how much more you should be doing.

Counselor/Caseload Manager (Former Employee) –  Fresno, CAJanuary 15, 2018
It was a valuable learning experience for a new therapist. Hours were a bit challenging since you begin doing counseling at 5am but the were very consistent, mon-fri, no over time. Management changed frequently and there was a high turn over in counselors as people needed to move on to other positions to get licensed in their field. You get invaluable experience working with a difficult client population and you get the opportunity to potentially a significant difference in someone's life.

Dispensing Nurse (Current Employee) –  La Mirada, CANovember 14, 2017
The hours are early (5:00-1:30) so you have time in the afternoon to take care of family duties.

I really enjoyed helping patients work on their recovery from illicit drugs.

The staff at the clinic I worked at really cared about the patients and worked well as a team.
Pros
Early hours
Cons
Pay could be more

Substance Abuse Counselor/ Case manager (Current Employee) –  Bakersfield, CA 93303November 1, 2017
Everyone works like a family. They say if you love your job you’ll never work a day in your life and that’s true. Work doesn’t feel like Work. It’s a great team. The pay could be better a lot of the incentives are productivity based which can be hard when people don’t meet their requirements. Over all it’s a great place to gain experience but with our better pay it’s never going to be a long stable career path.
Pros
Team environment. Bonus incentives.
Cons
Low pay
