Specialist, Program Management in Gainesville, VA
on June 8, 2017
The overall capabilities and product line for the company are beyond description. Team centric mentality enables projects to outperform. Middle management and lower management exhibit ideal characteristics. Employees are expected to go above and beyond when needed, and most respond to the challenge.
Business Manager in Huntsville, AL

Good. Management is taking on too much work and operations and support can not keep up with growth. Industry is growing, so this is somewhat an industry issue.
Plastic mechanic in Rancho Cordova, CA

Great pay and benefits and great culture. I worked there 4 years before they moved to Alabama and it was my dream job to work on missiles and space programs, made me get up early to get to work to make a difference I was always excited to step in the door.
Inspector 1 in Camden, AR

It’s a great starter job. Hard to get fired. Some managers are awesome, some don’t have interpersonal skills at all. Decent pay for the job. Just kind of boring.
Engineer in Los Angeles, CA

Typical defense contractor, good work life balance and reasonable pay. Everyone is very helpful and willing to teach you and the pace can be fast or slow depending on the project you are on.

Interview Questions

I was an expert at the field Aerojet Rocketdyne was pursuing at the time of the interview. The program in need had already begun and was year into activity. Therefore, the questions were asked from me to the management and they were aligned to the actuals and path-forward. Here were the types of question asked: - What are the chief requirements to complete? - What is the time-line/schedule for the effort? - What is the status of the effort? - What is the team makeup for the effort? - What is the Budget for the effort? - What is the EVMS status for the effort? - Does Aerojet have supporting assets to achieve the schedule and budget presented? - Can you tell me about the development team and their disciplines? There were more questions asked for me to gain a clear picture of the project's scope and stakeholder identification.
