Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedPrivate duty pediatric nursing: one-on-one, my schedule is great and when I can’t work I just say so. (Refreshing to not have to hunt for my own replacement nurse.) Office staff is friendly and helpful. Case managers are polite and helpful.
Pros
Flexible schedule, Home atmosphere
Cons
Not being able to leave for meal/break

Productive work place and professional staff members
Pediatric RN Nurse / Case Support Nurse (Current Employee) - San Antonio, TX - September 13, 2023
My current position with Ageless living is I am a private duty registered nurse, and I am randomly assigned to different clients on the weekends. I find the workload very satisfactory and rewarding. I’m given different cases weekly that keep me interested and engaged and allow me to do what I love to do best, and that’s helping children. Overall, I can say is that since my employment with Ageless Living I have been completely grateful with my nursing position and assurance off fair employment treatment.
Pros
I really enjoy meeting different families/ Clients.
Cons
The random long distance driving can be a bit tiresome.

Productivity
SLPA (Current Employee) - Austin, TX - September 6, 2023
It is a fun and positive place to work in. It can be a bit disorganized with delayed responses, time sensitive/delicate problems not being handled, and having to constantly check in that needs are not being forgotten.

Better than expected for a new PTA grad
PTA (Current Employee) - Austin, TX - September 6, 2023
I was told to avoid HH as a new PTA grad but I am a single mom and require flexibility. The best things so far: 1. An excellent, responsive, good humored supervising PT 2. The ability to shadow multiple sessions before starting 3. The choice to say no to picking up certain patients/locations What could be better: Maybe more collaboration between PTAs and “happy hours” of a sort. It is definitely a job where you are solo for most of the time and that’s hard. A bit more succinct / clear cut orientation to how to use the documentation system as it took me the most time to figure it out even after a good orientation. Overall I love the company and am very happy so far!

Compassionate and fun company to work for!
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) (Current Employee) - Austin, TX - September 1, 2023
Pediatric home health company that allows you to build your caseload & make your own schedule to accommodate your life & day. Have the flexibility to work 4 or 5 days a week full time. Management is caring, professional and communicative and they're always helpful when needed. If you like your independence and like being your own boss, this is a great therapist/nursing job for you! Everyday is fun & different from each other day, and working with kids makes me smile!
Pros
Great pay & benefits
Cons
Traffic driving

It’s rather Interesting
Scheduler (Former Employee) - Arlington, TX - August 14, 2023
It’s an ok place to work, you get to meet new people and work with a variety of patients and nurses. Depending on your branch, your branch managers can get away with a lot, like using profanity with you, and will push multiple boundaries just to have a patient staffed like messaging/calling you after hours, because the parents need a vacation, or have plans etc. and or the parents threaten to leave, and it disrupts your personal life. Management seems to get upset about their high over time rates but they always approve of the nurse’s OT all for a simple threat or because the branch managers or case managers don’t want to deal with the family . The branches also have a hard time following changes to the company, such as pushing a scheduler to talk to families, sometimes even case managers even though that is their responsibility. They don’t really correct them, why? I’m not sure. The job itself is not hard at all, training may seem overwhelming but once you get hands on it’s very repetitive. I think the most challenging part is knowing the patients of your branch, not sure why they would place 1 person for 30+ patients, it takes a team of 2 for any big branch which is every branch they have. The scheduling manager can be great at times, but I’ve heard her get personal multiple times and it can be unprofessional. Overall it’s an okay opportunity to work in but you will encounter these issues multiple times.
Pros
45 minute lunches, dress code is business casual
Cons
Branch managers can be rude, boundaries are not respected.

Okay company
PDN (Current Employee) - San Antonio, TX - June 21, 2023
I would say that being a new nurse that home health is the way to go. You have one patient to one nurse so you can truly care for your patient the way they deserve. Just explore your options.

Incompetent Management
Home Health Nurse (Current Employee) - Austin, TX - March 11, 2023
Case managers provide limited support; orders often incomplete and won't take calls outside of normal business hours. Schedulers have no concept of what nursing is like and will set unrealistic schedules.
Pros
Decent pay
Cons
Incompetent office/support staff

Uncertainty for company
LVN Nurse (Current Employee) - Victoria, TX - March 9, 2023
Working for over a year and am concerned for the company as a whole. After initial hire, there was PTO which is now no longer available. Insurance is poor, office turnover is high which leads to a lot of confusion when arranging the schedule and leads to frequent calls on days off or after a night shift. Holiday pay is abysmal as well.... Overall, no growth for an employee. The pay is decent but the drawbacks are not worth it.
Pros
Set your own hours
Cons
No PTO, Miscommunications are frequent

Client Coordinator (Current Employee) - Arlington, TX - January 11, 2023
I’ve been here about 8 months. I’ve seen a lot of people come and go. They do really enjoy their associates, but it is very hard to move up. It will not happen overnight

Flexible schedule, good paid and work-life balance
LVN (Former Employee) - Edinburg, TX - November 19, 2022
I used to work in a hospital setting before I started working here and I was overworked burnout and low pay rate. When I started working here I was able to have a flexible schedule, higher pay rate and the job was super easy compared to my old job. The only problem I found with this company was management was not as involved as they should be and a lot of miscommunication in notifying nurses about patients' status or work schedule changes until you were already there. Other than that I will recommend this company.

Good people. Home health.
Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (Current Employee) - Austin, TX - October 10, 2022
Know what you are getting into and you'll be ok. Paid for contact time, which is fair, but when you spend hours driving to see patients for 30 min, you don't make as much as it seems like you will. There also isn't time to fit in very many patients if everyone has to be seen after school.
Pros
High pay rate
Cons
Not many patients/time to see them

Cons
