Horrible

Horrible management good luck if you are a new caregiver it’s a dog eat dog. Your coworkers will probably not stay around. You don’t get paid enough overall do not recommend.

Pray you don't end up in facility run by this company

Management in most companies are lazy entitled and incompetent. They usually lack any attribute quality or skill required by true successful leadership. But that being said Agemark is at the top of that list. Low pay for the work and effort required to give the residents the quality of care they deserve. The neverending cycle employee's being hired put through a meat grinder and seeking new employment is quick. 75% turnover rate and the real victims are the elderly. Get ur loved ones out and placed somewhere else they are likely not getting care they deserve. There are a few people who god bless them stick around and give everything they have physically mentally while battling the pointless procedures and policies and clueless management ( you know who you are! !! ) Stay away from this at all cost

A nightmare

A great place to work with an awesome, fun, caring, and hardworking staff.

I'm the housekeeper and I've been here for a year, everyday Monday through Friday I clean residents rooms and common areas. The workers and management are a big help and take care of the residents.For me the hardest part of my job is since I'm the only housekeeper is keeping every residents room clean everyday.I enjoy working with the staff and spending time with the residents.

A Fulfilling Job in Healthcare

If you love working with people in memory care, this is the job for you. In this job, you assist residents in activities of daily living, which including toileting, eating, bathing, ect. This line of work is very fulfilling and is a great entry point for a career in healthcare.

Poorly Managed

I've learned these people make bad decisions often, then the staff takes the brunt of the aftermath. Oh, they have the lingo down, but they are high on themselves and they encourage group think. Everyone in management is similar. They ask for the moon but don't give you what you need to get it done. Short staffed, ineffective managers who don't know how to lead, poor benefits, just don't. You will be sorry if you do.

Pros

Free food and its good. Positive message about why they exist. I think they believe what they say.

Cons

Benefits are costly, if you ask questions they tell you to figure it out. Fake people. Horrific turnover, they don't really know what they are doing and don't support their communities

A fun and fulfilling place to work.

A typical day at work includes meetings, activities with the residents, caregiving tasks, office work, HR duties. I love working at CountryHouse in Lincoln. The residents always put a smile on my face. I learn something new everyday. It is a fast paced environment and you have to be ready to for anything. Everyone here works as a team.

Fun environment and love the tenants.

A normal day for me is coming to work seeing the tenants waking them up. I go into the tenants room say Good morning and how did you sleep. I feel if you start out with a good approach it sets the tenants up for a positive day. I get them dressed brush their hair and teeth. I wash their face. You always have to joke with them to get their spirits up. I then bring them out to the dining room. I ask them what they want to drink and always say please and thank you no matter what. Im always one to joke with the tenants to make them smile. If you have to be serious all the time whats the fun in that.

Good company to work at, bad management and very unorganized. No accountability whats so ever. Lovely residents and it feel like a second home when the attitude levels are down.

Great co-workers

Great co-workers but upper administrations had unrealistic expectations of what could be done with limited personal. Residents had to be fed, and area cleaned. With only 1 or 2 people.

Very poor management, overworked, and short staff.

My reccomendation for people looking into -not only this position but- any job in Kensington is to stay away as far as you can. You are severely overworked and treated poorly for how hard you work. Don't expect the management to actually come in if you need them to, don't expect them to care or go beyond like they expect you to. My coworkers and including myself, had to work while we are sick and contagious and sometimes even feverish. The residents themselves are not bad and I enjoyed working with my coworkers. But I have not felt anymore work toxicity from any place but here. If this hasn't convinced you, then my personal experience is I've had 5 people of all ages working long or short years there quit less than a few months. Don't work here.

Horrible place to work

Worst place I’ve worked as a CNA. Management was horrible and disrespectful. My last pay check was also 25 hours short. The residents made it tolerable and worth working there.

The job is fine for entry level Healthcare

The staff cares greatly for the residents. Unfortunately the caregiver staff members are underpaid and overworked. Even with a shift differential, a person could make more money working at a bank or McDonald's in town than working at the care home. There are good opportunities for over time because there is chronic issues with short staffing. Management seems disorganized at times.
