Demanding with micro management
Surgical laser technician (Former Employee) –  San AntonioApril 1, 2019
Mgmt (Houston location) will micro manage to the extreme. He and S.A.mgmt will throw you under the bus Unfortunately. They will not take responsibility for their actions even when they are at fault. It’s that bad! Another mgr that hired me along with the employees he hired were fired because of this because of this individual in charge. I tried to contest the case and even tried reaching out to the regional supervisor about this individuals actions but, never got a response. The Houston and San Antonio mgmt are the same, they do have a huge turnover so that in Its self speaks volumes. Good luck!
Pros
Travel
Cons
Poor mgmt

Poor Management/ Understaffed
Hospital Services Technician (Former Employee) –  Cedar Rapids, IAMarch 1, 2019
A typical day at work you will basically be managing the Hospitals IV Pumps, Wound Vacs, PCAs, Fan, Feeding pumps etc. You will perform inventory of all used equipment in patient rooms. You will be expected to complete rounds in 14 depts, Soil Runs (Every 2hrs) in 14 depts, Clean soiled equipment from 14 depts, Also making sure to keep PARS stocked in 14 depts - Thats IF they have enough pumps. You're also expected to answer deliveries in a timely manner (15-20mins) and still be expected to take a "break" that you technically still have to work on if the phone rings - So just don't expect to receive a break. NEVER expect to get off work on time if you close. Management is horrendous. He will constantly tell you how you're doing your job wrong. Don't ever expect to get any recognition or a simple "Thank You" for anything. He is the type of Manager that loves to just focus on the negative aspect of everything. If you step on his toes or confront him in any way he will ignore you or if he does respond he will manipulate you to make you feel like your concerns are insignificant. He is constantly saying one thing and doing another. He could careless about his employees. You can rely more on your team members vs him. Overall just a poor leader. If you work with this company plan to walk a lot (which was my favorite part of this job), plan to feel stressed, always racing against the clock, understaffed, always cover your behind and keep proof of everything for when you get blamed for something you didn't do. Don't expect anyone in upper management to help you either. This is not the  more... job you move up in either. All in all this job is basically janitorial work!  less

More experienced biomeds should look elsewhere for work
Biomedical Technician II (Former Employee) –  FLFebruary 2, 2019
The company motto should be "over promises and under delivers"

Expected to know everything without being provided much training. Company likes to chase every dollar at the expense of their employees. Corporate office is very disconnected from the district offices. High turnover rate because of this.
Pros
Provided a company car for field work most of the time
Cons
Corporate doesn't respect its employees on the ground
