Recruiting company pushed a little hard to accept lower wage.
Contractor technical Writer (Current Employee) – San Dimas, CA – June 5, 2017
Really needed N/A selections in the star ratings.
Akraya is a recruiting company. Daily interaction doesn't happen. recruits are no part of job culture at Akraya. Management is competent, but sometimes slow due to time zones. Akraya has no power over job security. However, Akraya does offer a little bit of benefits to soften being a contractor.
Work life balance is skewed a bit between Akraya and Gilead. It's tough to work under two set of rules sometimes.
Job details are quite extensive, physically challenging, rewarding, and able to complete multiple projects before deadlines.
Admin. Asst. III (Contract) - Gap Inc. (Former Employee) – San Francisco, CA – March 12, 2015
Hired as a Contractor a 6 month contract job that is now ending at 10 months with a few extensions for the Client who was my past employer.for 15 years.. Enjoyed the constant ability to exercise the past and present knowledge due to employment for many years. Each day I was constantly challenged with new and additional requests Helped plan and assist in business learning sessions and high-level events. In this role, one must be able to lift 60lbs. and be physically fit due to a lot of Events and set ups,
Gained further knowledge in this role that I can use in my next one
Too much distraction on requests that 'weren't neccessary.
