Unless you know someone on the inside, you will NEVER get interviewed. I had been putting in applications for YEARS, then finally got an interview after my friend started working there.

The whole interview was maybe 30 minutes. I met with the director and assistant director of the department and they both interviewed me. I actually thought it would be a drawn-out process, but it wasn't. I interviewed once and was hired within a week.
