Size of staff depends on size of store aka profits. Everything is about the numbers. Your work hours are directly tied to your profits aka the more you make the more staff you get. Buuutttt....it's always at a minimum bc corporate doesn't want to waste money with staff standing around with nothing to do bc it'll be less money going into their pockets.

The different shifts are open mid and close. You do everything in this job as one job title. The store must be 100 per cent cleaned customers checked out and all stocking and date rotation done. Don't get too excited though this job isn't as glamorous as it first seems. I personally feel like Aldi Inc. expects too much work out of one person for four or five other job titles. You must be able to multitask like nothing else you've ever seen or done in your whole life. This job is extremely fast paced and the burnout and turnover percentages are extremely high. There is also sometimes a lot of worker injuries from having to zoom through five or six other people's jobs and get it all done before the end of your shift. (Or you may end up getting scolded or even terminated if you don't get all tasks complete done however unrealistic the standard for Aldi Inc. may be.) You are still expected to get four jobs of cashier cleaning stocking and customer service all done. Know all this inside information before you decide you want to make the committment to this job.

Not in my store there wasn't. My grandfather passed away. They wouldn't even let me attend his funeral. Because I was scheduled to work on the same day. The store only had about 5 employees for the whole schedule. So there wasn't any other option except miss my grandfather's funeral and work instead. The company has a very cold culture. They don't care about their employees only the profits coming in.
