Enjoyable work place until dealing with certain middle management that was only concerned with their upward movement and not willing to develop others
Project Manager (Former Employee) –  Rosemont, ILJuly 4, 2018
Typical work day: paid for 8 hours but expected to work 10+.
I learned that management will miss lead and you and use you until they no longer need your services.
Workplace culture: co-workers are friendly and engaging, which makes the environment appealing.
Hardest part of the job, no knowing if your paycheck is depending on your willingness to travel out of state.

Good Company to grow with
Project Manager (Current Employee) –  Bethlehem, PAFebruary 20, 2018
As a Project Manager you are restricted very little and given lots of room to maneuver. This gives you the opportunity to do things your own way and grow your accounts. If you have ideas on how to do things and can self start you should do well here.

Project Assistant (Former Employee) –  Libertyville, ILJanuary 28, 2018
Although a very profitable company, Aldridge is a very competitive work place. Sometimes pitting employees against each other rather than to work collaboratively

Construction Worker (Former Employee) –  Libertyville, ILMay 2, 2017
Great benefits and pay, but the hours would be hard to manage if I had a family. Leadership is great, still feels like a family company despite its huge size.

Good culture, but no upper management help.
Project Management (Former Employee) –  IllinoisJanuary 21, 2017
The company is divided into many different divisions. One division mangement is completely autonomous from the oteher. Depending on the upper management in that division depends on how much help and overseeing you will get. Not a good company for older workers. Your prime at Aldridge is by the time you hit 40 years old.
Extremely computer driven.

Feels like home a majority of the time.
Assistant Project Manager (Current Employee) –  Jersey City, NJFebruary 29, 2016
In the central office the mood is always positive, uplifting. Senior Project Managers and VPs give much guidance and coworkers cooperate within or between divisions.

Balance of personal/work life can be difficult. Common week is expected at 50 hours, but can often stretch to 60+ hours without warning.

Secondary offices on job sites have varying moods and styles. While the final culture is similar, there can often be increased stress without as immediate of assistance due to distance from the central office.
Pros
Flexibility, Healthcare, 401k, additional education
Cons
Work/Life balance, spontaneous schedule change, night shifts occasionally or commonly

Excellent Training
Assistant Project Manager (Former Employee) –  Libertyville, ILJanuary 20, 2015
My 5 hours of interviewing with 3 different people reflected my direct experience with Contract Management yet I was unknowingly given the title of Assistant Project Manager with certain roles expected of me that I was not qualified to perform.. There were certain duties required that was out of my purview.
Pros
Worked on site; continuous company training related to interpersonnel skills
Cons
10+ hour days

Good job to get experience
Driver / Yard (Former Employee) –  Libertyville, ILSeptember 30, 2014
SAFETY there is always first, and foremost. I never worked at a place that put such and emphasis on safety. I learned how to operate various types of equipment and machines. In particular a HIAB 200-C3. A radio operated crane. The hardest part of the job was keeping in order all the DOT regulations and time schedules. However the best part was being able to drive down the road and say. I helped to make that happen. A sense of pride and accomplishment. My coworkers are some of the finest in the trade. The management always tried to put you in a position to prevail. NEVER to fail. To fail in that field would mean that someone gets hurt or killed.
Pros
A LOT of Safety Training
Cons
Not much room for advancment
