The AGH Core Lab is a very toxic work environment. There is a clear lack of concern for the health and well-being of the techs and support staff. Managers ignore concerns, allow certain workers to bully other workers and have favorite employees that are allowed to break all kinds of rules. The morale is low and turnover is very high! There have been many unjustified terminations of very good (some long-standing) techs/support staff by one particular manager. The Core lab director is rarely present in the lab.
Very stressful environment to work. Management is awful and under qualified. Favoritism is a huge problem which makes team playing impossible. Very little respect if any from corporate.
Core lab is poorly designed, mismanaged, and very unclean!
Extremely stressful work environment. Noones in charge so
aggressive workers take over and
bully and harass! Managers never
intervene because the aggressive
ones are taking care of things! The
quiet, less aggressive ones constantly suffer!
If you aren't a nurse or have a degree, you are NOT treated with respect from management, supervisors, Highmark. Only people who get recognized are nurses. There's an entire week of NURSES WEEK activities & not even a mention of PAs medical assistants, NAs or clerical - not even a mention!
Management has NO respect for you if you are the almighty NURSE!
Poor management. The coordinators are useless. They never help you with any issues that arise. Constantly focusing on the negativity.
Good organization with a diverse group of individuals.

Management is OK,but problem solving is horrible, and team playing terrible.
Overall, I would rate it as very unhealthy. Everyone seems very nice at first, but expressing your voice or complaints is not something they tolerate well.
