I worked in the Waco, TX facility.
Good help is hard to find (and keep) because there's not much excitement in Waco except for Baylor activities but as far as the company, it is just OK.
There are lots of politics and so if you are in the "chosen ones" crowd go will go far-fast.
If you are not, then good luck they will keep you in the same roll until you get tired and quit or get replaced.
The benefits are pretty decent and you will learn a lot. because I think that everyone employed there as a FTE works hard and is knowledgeable. Usually it is very busy from the time you clock in until the time you leave. Sometimes Managers talk down to people.
I worked in the lab for a couple of years and noticed people come and get accepted into grad. school and quit. Then the Supervisor has to start over and train someone new. A lot of resources wasted on training. Retention rate is low for the labs.
Other than that, benefits are good but no work-life balance for Exempt employees. you are supposed to be flexible and work any hours asked.

Legacy Allergan was a fantastic place to work Ever since the merger with Actavis it has really changed. Ultimately most of upper management is legacy Forest and they have subsequently weeded out most legacy Allergan employees.

This feedback is strictly related to Allergan roles in selling commercial pharmaceutical products. Allergan has a good pipeline of medications. The organization has changed significantly due to acquisitions. The immediate divisional and regional management dictates the working/feedback environment. The company has shifted significantly toward hiring very young people averaging 1-2 years of sales experience. The initial pay is very low relative to the industry, and raises are minimal.

I enjoyed working for Forest prior to the acquisition by Actavis. Post the Actavis purchase of Forest company and quality couture changed rapidly. Upon the Merger with Allergan and the divestiture of the Generic business unite the Quality Climate has improved. Challenging work

Rapidly changing environment with products, acquisitions and divestigers

The work flow can ramp up and slow down at any time
The pay is decent to good and the management is very good.
The benefits how ever are amazing and the company continues to try to listen to employees.

You don't know if you were guaranteed to work day to day. They have long lay off periods. They gave you no chance of going from temporary to perminant.
Pros
You had plenty of days off to do what you needed to do.
Cons
You couldn't go temporary to perminant. No benifits. No Holiday pay.
