One time I had to work 5 days straight, no sleep, no going home...you stay until your site is covered.

There are some 8 hours shifts and some weekend warrior 12 hour shifts.

Report answer

Terrible because people call out all of the time and you could be stuck working overnight or risk getting fired.

Mandatory overtime. At the start of a shift they will surprise you by telling you that you have to stay 4 hours over. This is usually due to an issue that the lead has known about for a month, but refuses to handle until the last second. If you have plans it doesn't matter, you can't leave until your relief shows up.
