Welding Team lead
Certified Welder/ Team Leader (Current Employee) –  Castle Rock, CODecember 27, 2013
I was in charge of first shift welding dept. I set up goals for the day, went threw the sap to figure out what products needed out the door first. Gave material to the team to weld.
The most difficult part of the job was the draw back of hours after the wind energy took a dive.
Best part of working for Aluwind was it was a great place to learn new skills.
Pros
good pay, and loved the hours.
Cons
After lay off's emplloyees attituded declined and so did the hours.

Aluwind review
Shipping and Receiving (Current Employee) –  Castle Rock, COOctober 21, 2012
Aluwind as a company was flexible, which was important. I was certified to drive a forklilft here, as well as having learned many skills such as machining skills, fladder and laser operation, pressbrake and the skills necessary for my department, Shipping and Recieving/ Assembly. Management was good about keeping a relationship with the crew, however the highest managment was in a foreign country, which dictated key decisions for us, and led to much gridlock and lack of flexibility. the work itself was very enjoyable, and I was even exposed to some leadership in my position here, however, the greater scheme, in terms of job stability, I would not recommend this company.
Pros
flexible schedule, enjoyable work and coworkers.
Cons
unstable and unsteady workload.
