Productive in learning about lab processes
Office Assistant (Former Employee) –  Indianapolis, INMarch 8, 2017
Receiving patient blood, urine and serum samples, logging them into the computer and sending them through the lab for processing, sometimes shipping them to outside labs for processing, in turn contacting a courier for specimen pick up after logging the specimen and ordering the necessary lobs and sending the requisition along with the sample for the orders to be ran. The most enjoyable part of the job was learning a new skill set. The hardest part was knowing which labs to order if a requisition didn't come with the specimen.
Pros
Experience in the medical field, fun work environment
Cons
Short breaks

Hired through a temp agency
Phlebotomist (Current Employee) –  indianapolisMarch 20, 2015
So far okay, but still new to this job and people. Temp agency is 3 month contract before hospital decides to hire you on. I guess hospitals are doing this now so that if they don't want you and your contract is up then you have to find a new one. Ive learned new things in phlebotomy that I haven't done before.
Pros
set schedule
Cons
contract
