I work 40 HRS a week and I love my job. if you have a giving heart that bring out the best in people, then you have found your forever employer in Amada Senior Care. They put there caregivers first, providing flexible schedules, hours you can count on, they offer fair hours wages and a supportive working environment.

What is the best part of working at the company?Everything and everyone! I absolutely love this company and I will stay here forever if I can. What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Every once in awhile I get a difficult client but it's never very stressful at all. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Excellent! I couldn't ask for friendlier coworkers and kinder, more understanding administrative staff. What is a typical day like for you at the company?The communication is perfect, there's never any misunderstanding when communicating with the staff on the phone. It makes the day go very smooth.

Great workplace for people starting out

Honestly I had a wonderful experience working here. The staff were great. They helped me when I needed it. The training provided is through presentation and some demonstrations that were on hand. I was scared as it was my first caregiver experience but they matched me with such wonderful patients.

High stress, not enough support

Very difficult job to do without much resources or support. Constantly on call and the pay is simply not high enough to justify the demands of this role.

Toxic place to work. Management was unfair and inconsistent.

Toxic place to work. Things were promised that never happened. Expected too much work for the compensation. I’m was hired at an hourly rate for a 40 hour work week but once I took the job; I was told it was salary. I worked sometimes 20 hours a day in one capacity or another without any further incentive.

Selfish company. Charges clients TRIPLE what careworkers are being paid.

Home Health Aide (Former Employee) - Rocky Mount, NC - October 8, 2023

Not appreciative of their workers. Very pushy upon taking shifts, even if you tell them you’re not available and give attitude when you don’t accept the shift. Charges clients 40+ an hour and pays workers 9-13 dollars an hour.

Weekly pay. Opportunities to pick up more shifts with one click.

Cons

Under appreciated. Rude bosses. Low pay. No mileage even if you travel 20+ miles.

At first they are always nice but later true colors come out

First I signed up for full time But almost a month later forget itPatients are far, scheduled shifts get cancelled no explanation or everyone gets text but I’m excluded and you asked if you will get paid for the shift because you didn’t get notified it cancelled with 24 hrs, you get a message back with an attitude and I see lots of favoritism in this company, my last check was for 10 hrs only, thank God I found a back up agency that gave me 36 hrs a week and much closer to the house.
