Amara
Amara Server Review
Good food, lots of promises, management had a blind eye
Server (Former Employee) - Madison, WI - December 11, 2022
Great food, pretty atmosphere. Terrible place to work from my experience. The gossip reminded me of high school. My father died, and I was gone two vital training weeks. There was no plan to get me where I was hired to be, but only after constant reminding and begging did I get to the pay I interviewed for, then I only served 3 or so weeks. The rest of the time was backwaiting and ONLY backwaiting, 3 days of shadowing scattered in there here and there the information never stayed fresh like everyone else was able to go through. I left after the managers said untrue things about me. I thought it was fun and exciting for a little. You have to be to do multiple tasks at once. All in all how I felt and how my customers felt didn’t coincide with anything the managers told me, and I felt very expendable there. I wish them the best. But job security was poor.
Pros
Free food sometimes. Good traffic.
Cons
Bad training. Gossip.
