chill and relaxed job

Indeed Featured review

overall, the job is pretty easy for how much you get paid. Good for college students who can pick up shifts here and there, but picking up shifts is difficult considering they're taken in seconds.

easy job, decent pay

shifts taken to quickly, short shift hours

Management/Shifts not all on the same page. Hard to take pride in your job. If you need a paycheck and quick benefits this might be the perfect place for you.

It was for me and they let me go because my points went low so I wouldn't wanna work at Amazon any more just look for another job to work for because Amazon isn't good

This Amazon really disappointed me I expected way more from the mangement and the company itself. Yes they have these amazing programs but that's only if your eligible to participate in them. You ask 3 mangers the same question you get 3 different answers they have unrealistic expectations as well

Good intro to employee relations

solid, be prepared for the grind during busy season (peak, prime). mandatory overtime, but you get a lot of experience, one year at an amazon warehouse is three anywhere else

Productive, good work environment

The job is not so heavy and the place has a good environment. Needs bit more organization at time but overall a good place to work. Schedule is flexible and able to do overtime.

Good if you need a job fast

Hiring process is fast, but 10 hour shifts mean no openings for doctors or anything else. No peak rate for seasonal, large volume in aisles means extra stress with people waiting on you to finish your tasks

Poor management

All of the managers are college students who never worked a job. They expect to complete every single task perfectly in most scenarios or have a high pack rate

Good and bad

The management needs work to say the least. Some of the process assistants do not belong in the position and have lots of favoritism going on and it's not usually because they work hard. There is lots of cool people but there is also lots of people who get away with doing nothing while you work your butt off and if you mention it to the management a lot of the time they don't do anything about it. Also there is a lack of communication between managers and associates which would resolve a lot of problems that arise just by simply communicating. Giving it a chance and hoping for the changes I wish to see

Not that bad

Not that bad. Just gets repetitive after awhile. I think it would of been better if we were able to listen to music without getting in trouble. Supervisors were pretty chill for the most part

Easy to catch on, they make sure that you understand your role

It gets repetitive and boring after the first week and you start to realize that being a picker is the worst job. The people who stow are always on their phones, and in the way. The days are long which is to be expected but they give you mandatory overtime right away! So you're working 60 hours a week when you only signed up for 40. It feels like they keep you in the same area too, would be nice to move around. They act like they care but don't.

Can get paid daily, can easily make requests for upt or personal time.

Short breaks, mandatory over time.

Not for me

This job is perfect for anyone that loves physical labor and working 12 hour shifts, but personally for me. This is simply a stepping stone and I’m leaving as fast as I can

The work is no joke

When i was told amazon works people i didint think i would be so sore after a week of working there. the work is very self explanitory so its no issue with learning how things work and if you are scared of heights then this is not the job for you. the people that work here are very to themselves and will be nice but some people wake up with a thorn in there side and then can make the whole day drag because of it. the management is interesting because it's the right people on the floor. It's a good day but the wrong manager on the floor could back up the whole day.

It's a pretty good place to work otherwise if you like working long hours and crazy schedules and they'll change them at any given time then this is the place for you

Good place to work.

To be honest I think Amazon is a good choice to work at if it’s your first time working. My first time working I was a picker in February of 2021. Not a bad way to start your first job, however, when I went back to Amazon to work again I got put into C-Rets. It’s a good position if you like standing for hours. Workers were nice though!

Intense Physical Work

As with most warehouse jobs, the work was pretty straightforward and simple. However, the actual doing of the work is labor intensive. You are on your feet your entire shift except for breaks (2/15 min 1/30mins) They do calculate your “stow rate” to see how many and quickly you’re scanning packages. If you’re going to slow for them, they’ll say something to you. Package weight varies from light to oversized. They say you can get help with the oversized packages, but with the pace of work there’s never anyone around to help you, but you will see some blue vest walking around doing nothing *hint hint. I had to soak every day before and after. My body was so physically worn down. They’re iffy about accommodating in certain circumstances. I needed to switch to another shift so that I could care for my school age child during covid and they told me if I need to quit I’ll still be eligible to be a rehire. You are disposable to them so, don’t go breaking your body for this company. Peak season is the hardest season. Your shift hours inevitably increase. Longer work days.My three stars is because you do get the option of Volunteer Time Off (VTO) if you can catch it when it comes to your phone. And you can take off before your shift without being harassed by management. The other thing is you can rack up on paid time off pay as a part time employee which is cool. I figured out a system with that. Also, you can pick up more hours if the Voluntary Extra Time (VTE) which is good for holiday season, if you have the strength. And lastly, some of the Team leads are pretty nice and will try -

Not a good place to work

HR was completely useless and the leadership is super toxic. 0 room to make get raises and career growth. They will overwork and under pay you and expect you to be a robot

Great Healthcare

Short breaks, toxic culture and leadership

Difficult work for simple tasks

Amazon really does a good job making the most simple tasks, extremely daunting and mind boggling. The pay and benefits are great but that’s how they get you.
