Reviews about Pay & Benefits for Customer Service Manager in Amazon.com
Can be fun and rewarding, but also stressful and some unrealistic expectations
CSM Customer Service Manager (Former Employee) - Remote - August 23, 2023
I worked in many customer service positions at amazon over the course of 5 years, ended as a CSM. As a CSM the job could be very fun and rewarding at times depending on team size and GM. Everything is very metric driven and team sizes can vary between 12-30 people. So if you get a full team of new hires they are all eventually supposed to hit the metrics and you end up spending 80+ hours a week working when the salary is weak for 40 hours. They also expect you to do a bunch of side projects and other things, which is fine if you want to devote your life to the company.

Good Pay, Bad Customers
Customer Service Manager (Former Employee) - Huntington, WV - September 19, 2019
The pay at Amazon is what got my attention. The starting rate is extremely high in comparison to many jobs in that area. However, you have to be a strong-minded individual to be able to work there for longer than a year or so. The work itself is very stressful due to the kind of contacts you receive and people you interact with.
