In Ames iowa. The hours are 4 -12 hr days 4 days off . How much over time?
Easy. Walked out with an offer in 10 mins. They hire everyone basically.
Applied, quick email contact, then HR started asking if I was able/interested in rotating shift work. Never responded to my proposed interview times. I had to contact them in each stage to get the momentum moving along. Finally got to the video interview, that went okay, but the energy on their side was low. Was told I would likely hear something by the weekend, was the following Tuesday that I got the thanks but no thanks phone call, immediately followed by an email. Good courtesy to call before the email.
They will slow play the process. Their recruiter will do the first interview over the phone. Then you will do 2 in person interviews.
The interview was not very formal, pretty laid back, and random topics & questions thrown at you. It was not a bad experience, but definitely not what I was expecting.
Average interview with questions
Gave a slight overview of what they do, then began asking job experiences and strong suites and weaknesses.
Its fast but i would listen to every word the supervisor says. he would walk with you to every part of the plant/floor(factory).
Jokes!! Gm is allowed to tell prospective hires they won’t make and then string along people who get jobs for months.
Gm tells people they will never make it and has no business being in the interview process. That’s good management isn’t it? Treat people who want to work like excrement
