Decent pay and benefits...

Indeed Featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
The biggest problem at Amcor continues to be ineffective management. Pay is good, great benefits. A higher than average 401K match. Just poor management and in my tenure there I didn't really see a lot of room for promotion from within.

Pros

Pay, benefits from day 1, a higher than average 401k match

Cons

Short breaks, poor management, overtime policy is constantly shifting

Its a job

I honestly wouldn't recommend this job for anyone with a family or likes days off. You don't get to see your family or house has much as the walls inside the amcor penitentiary. There's no actual training so in order to get raises you have to be selfish and only do for yourself.

Pros

Free Gatorade if they fill the machine but they only care about day shift

Cons

No off time.

Stable High paying job with advancement opportunity

Worked up from bottom to upper middle. I have had moments when the job felt overwhelming and times where I felt like just a number. However, if you continue to put in quality hard work in a safe manner day after day they will notice and give you opportunity.

Great place to work.

Very appreciative and understand family life, a factory that gives holidays off. Teaches and gives time to learn true family environmental very laid back but expects the best from you

Don't work here

If you're hired as a Material Handler, be prepared to do your job and 20% of everyone else's. Be prepared to be reprimanded for taking initiative and trying to help. Be prepared for days where you don't get a break because no one cares about or respects your position. Benefits are good

Stable office job

Pro: Good management, stable hours/pay, family friendly environment, wfh option 2 days per weekCon: tedious/boring work, company makes plastic, no full remote option

Management is clueless

The management has no idea from day to day what anyone is doing even though they have endless meetings. They are always in meetings so they are hard to find or get in touch with. They give people little or no direction then give a review saying you have little or no direction. Big smiles but soulless. Typical big business.

Pros

They do pay well.

Cons

Healthcare is pretty expensive considering the size of the company.

It's ok

Decent pay for what we actually do. Sometimes there are too many chiefs and not enough indians when push comes to shove and the meetings management are in are overkill. Training is better today than when I started so that's a plus.

Good job

Great place to work, I loved working there before I moved. Good pay, decent benefits and most of the people were easy to work with. Hr is the worst part because they have no idea what they're doing.

Terrible place to work

Horrible place to work. Miserable with no respect for employees. Terrible working conditions. Treated with no respect or dignity. Find a better place to work that is not here.

Pros

Nothing

Cons

Everything

Horrible Culture and Leadership

Management is terrible and rewards poor performers that suck up to them over those who work hard and deliver results. Departments are overworked and understaffed while requests for additional personnel are denied.

Terrible Management

Horrible place to work at and terrible Management. Co-workers don't help you and the experienced people don't help at all. Management is too busy hiding in the office.

Clean place to work

Just starting my orientation but from what I see it looks like a great place to be... Paid insurance for the whole family starting on day one... Recruiters are very nice

Run! Stay away!

Management is a joke. They tell you one thing then do another. Training is non existent. No one held to the same standards. Pay is the only thing keeping me here.

Management issues

Management out of touch with the needs of workers. The company does not deal with managing its workforce well. My raise based on other workers performance.

Pros

Good pay, perks

Cons

2 ten minute breaks, one 20 minute break in a 12 hour shift.
