Sales Associate/Cashier in Dulles Town Center, VA

The hours are not really consistent and they pay is pretty low. However, a typical day of work is a lot of faced paced tasks and multitasking. You are given goals each shift which may be a pro or a con for you.

The overall company was great to work for. It was the management that had pushed me out. I found out after I left that the management that I left because also had left.

Loved the employees and customers. Great environment to work in. Hard work pays off. if they notice you’re doing great, they’ll make sure to acknowledge it to others.
Brand Ambassador/Sales Associate in Coon Rapids, MN

Management was great. Had no complaints. Did something new every day. One day you are on registers, the next you are up front greeting and making sure the store looks nice. They didn't make a huge deal about getting people signed up for credit cards, but it was something that they made sure was in the back of our mind (I only got 2). Co-workers and management were very friendly and made friends quickly. The reason for the 3 star is because the pay was horrendous, and they made us bother a lot of the customers it felt like. Made sure we went up to every customer and then going back up to them and then back up to them again to make sure they were finding things okay, and I felt more of a nuisance than anything, 99% of people there were just there to "look around" and clearly didn't want to be bother because they just wanted to shop. I can say the same for pushing people to sign up for the store credit card. They would want us to ask everyone who we checked out and they came up with something at our store called the rule of 3's or something like that. Basically just bring up the credit card 3 times after they say no, and I really disagreed with that because that's just plain annoying and from a customer's standpoint I would be annoyed. But other than that it was a fun, relaxed, chill place to work.

Whether it’s maintenance or on the floor. It pays, not as much as others. Fairly relaxed and comfortable. Yet, “as they say”..comfort kills. It is what it is.

A time I had a good experience shopping at american eagle. What I liked about my previous job. What I’m passionate about. How I would help someone pick an outfit for an event (birthday party/vacation) How I would help someone find jeans they like.

The hiring manager asked me to tell her about myself. She then asked why I wanted to work there, what experience I had, where I take fashion inspiration from, what my availability looked like, and finally if I had any questions for her. It was very short, lasting less than 10 minutes.
