The hours are not really consistent and they pay is pretty low. However, a typical day of work is a lot of faced paced tasks and multitasking. You are given goals each shift which may be a pro or a con for you.

if you're different at all, they reduce your hours and put you in stock instead of on the floor. was yelled at on the floor by management in front of guests. told I didn't fit in and was laughed at by other associates during a floor set day.

Fun job, especially for persons in high school just starting out in the working world! Super friendly management. Super chill and laid back. You deal with the occasional rude customer but that’s to be expected anywhere in retail.

not commision base even though you sell a lot of merchandise

I felt I was always selling merchandise and pushing sales in our department but not being incentivized with commissions with low wages hurts. Managanmnenty pushing for you to sell without getting recognition sucked too

Struggled with my availability and working around school and would be upset I didn’t go to my shift if I had class and would tell them I wasn’t coming for class. Some of the managers are great other ones are on a power trip.

Not a bad place to work

Good place to work. It's a pretty fun environment if you can get along with all the team members. The dress code and the discount are both the best parts of the job. Only reason I left was due to the last DM I had who basically told me I was doing a terrible job even though my store was ranked in the top 10 in sales during a pandemic and outranked most other stores in the district I was in. The upper management also changed quite a lot and the company was bringing in Regional managers and other district managers who had all left from failing companies (probably not the best move). Otherwise I would still recommend working there until you get to store manager level.

Fun work environment for a first job

I worked here for about 2 years in high school and it was a decent job. Pay was expectedly bad (minimum wage for a high schooler) but I had a great time at work and loved my managers and other employees. I had to stay late sometimes or come in on off days but I didn't mind. Fast paced work environment some days but slow on others. Not too difficult. Incredible employee discount.

Staff was ok management not to good

Manager definitely had favorites. Manager didn’t communicate well with the rest of the staff. Manager was too demanding with getting costumers to apply for credit cards.

Good part-time job for a student
