Busy holidays, slow summers
Retail Merchandiser (Current Employee) – Ash Flat, AR – April 12, 2019
Management is responsive and helpful. Excellent, and ongoing training. You get paid your hourly wage for travel between stores, or for travel outside your route, to help out with new store openings or revisions, if you volunteer to go. Set your own schedule 90% of the time. Required visits are rare: On the day after a holiday, to change out displays. Otherwise, you pick which days to work, can be any time of day when the store is open, of course. You have to make friends with each store’s employees. Hours are restricted. Can be anywhere from 6 to 20+ hours per week. Not a primary job to pay all bills. For supplemental income only. No co-workers, other than each store’s employees, who you must interact with. You have a route, with stores near your home. Use your own car, start at one store, then get paid your hourly wage for travel to the next store. Each visit lasts an average of 2 hours. Great job for someone who needs extra income. You can visit your stores when convenient for you, during their store hours, of course.
Flexible hours, great add-on if you already work.
Few hours during non-holiday months (Summertime).
