I would encourage “corporate” management to provide more oversight of satellite lab management. While there are good employees I’m pretty sure they don’t understand the negative impact unqualified management has on both lab operations and department morale.
New manager: “I want to send you to continuing education or conferences as often as possible”
Manager after 6 months: “Print out your hourly reports because I need to know what you do every hour of every day and clock out after you finish your last case.”
