Adjunct Professor and Student Advisor in American University Park, DC
I was an adjunct professor so it was great to work with students in my field.
As an adjunct professor I was able to stay in touch with new entrants to my field. I was able to share my experiences with them as well as learn from their new perspectives.

Lots of good things. 35 hour work week, lots of sick and vacation time, lots holiday time, lots of resources at AU to take advantage of. Though some weird stuff does happen. I was told I couldn't be in the retirement program as a temporary to permanent worker for a year. Then surprise, automatically enrolled. Just make thing smore clear and up front.

Daily task become mundane, you can stay busy if you search for problems and policy infractions. Job allows for patrolling of your own area which is great.

Staff Assistant in Washington, DC
This was the most unprofessional environment I have EVER worked in . It starts at the top of the office . The management is very unprofessional and incompetent, the environment is toxic. The manager of the office of enrollment hires all of her Ethiopian friends & family . She is supervising work that she herself is incapable of doing. Her managers are enablers that facilitate the behavior.
