The interview process at Americor starts with a phone screen by a Recruiter. They will ask basic questions about your experience and what you are looking for and give you a brief overview of the company and the position. Should you be a match for what we are looking for and vice versa, you will be invited to come into the office for a face to face interview. You will meet with a Recruiter for an interview consisting of behaviorally based, skills based and/or situational questions. Depending on the position, you will be asked to take an online test that will assess your basic computer, Word, Excel and typing skills. This test could last 30-60 minutes depending on how long it takes you to answer the questions. We do suggest that you prepare to be in our office for at least an hour and a half.

I had a phone screen interview with someone from HR. They were just the basic questions (kudos for not asking "Tell me about yourself"). It was informative and I learned something about the position but it still seemed vague. They tell you that they will have you come in to take a "typing test", however they want you to allow up to 1.5 hours for this. Its not just a typing test, they want to see if you can navigate their proprietary systems. I believe this is their way of getting the most for the least amount of money. In the end, I decided it wasnt worth it. Additionally, they state that the company has been around since 2008, but I was told that the owner scrapped the business to focus on other things, and had recently started back up with it again. This is basically a start-up.
