Exact opposite of a fun, loving job.
Production Operator II (Former Employee) –  Yaphank, NYJanuary 29, 2019
The job was atrocious, management was deplorable. The hours were bad and the working conditions were harsh. it's as if I were in a prison; room with no windows and wore a hot suit.

Amneal went from a small, private company to much larger, public company. The company has experience growing pains and staffing has not kept pace with the additional demands of SOX and external reporting.
Pros
hours somewhat flexible
Cons
staffing is too lean

Scientist 2-Analytical research and Development (Current Employee) –  Brookhaven, NYOctober 22, 2018
its a good transition company if you are starting out from college you can learn a lot from that stand point. different instruments and test if you have a good manager who doesn't want you doing the same test every day with the same instruments. otherwise if your planning on expanding this job is not for you its very stagnant and people within the lab plus management tend to speak in their local languages all the time without the care for others.
Pros
some free lunches, flexibility in work hours
Cons
bad managemnt and work culture

Amneal Pharmaceuticals is a great company with strong IT initiatives. Rapid company growth has been great for the IT team as we are very busy with deploying new technologies and completing very important projects.

Senior Director - BD & Corp Strategy (Former Employee) –  Bridgewater, NJSeptember 12, 2018
Amneal offered a steep and a rich learning environment where you acquire a diverse skills set and a real sense of accomplishment. I truly enjoyed the work I did there and learnt a great deal. The CEO is sincere , dynamic and a visionary. On the flip side there was rampant favoritism which caused some senior leaders to behave badly due to their sense of job security creating a pretty bad work culture. If you are one of the lucky ones who is favored by the management then you have a good life at Amneal. Interactions between colleagues were not always respectful.
Pros
Rich work experience. Exposure to many deal types
Cons
Favoritism, lack of respect during interactions, arbitrary decision making by Executive board.

While my time at Amneal I learned various new techniques and got the opportunity to handle various drug product formulations.

Great exposure to new analytical techniques and instruments.

Values family culture and considers all employees as family.

QC CHEMIST-II (Former Employee) –  New York, NYJune 19, 2018
It's a nice place to me. Made a lot of friends there, still in touch with them. Manager will support you when needed, also asks you to work extra hours. That's acceptable. A lot of people work with passion, and help each other.

Good job to break into the quality/pharmaceutical industry

However, employees are overworked and underappreciated. Salaried employees are treated as hourly employees.

Management works 5-6 hours a day.
Pros
Good experience

Great place to work, but unless you have a Bachelor's Degree, no room for advancement. Really like all the people as they are like a second family, but if you are coming in as new, it will take time to feel like part of that family.

no advancement

This place is decent start for anyone with little to no experience. Upward mobility is tough as there are too many silos among the different teams. Great room for improvement
