Amy's Country Candles
Amy's Country Candles Sales Associate Review
A mess that is somehow still going
Sales Associate (Former Employee) - Thibodaux, LA - March 16, 2017
Expect to get fired or accused of stealing at some point. The founder micromanages every aspect and only wants you to do what she says, whether or not it is legal, ethical, or smart business. In the factory, most people smoke cigarettes inside. Be prepared to do absolutely anything, such as getting involved in the owner's personal matters - nothing you can do to avoid it anyway. There are no consistent processes, little communication, high emotion, and lots of blame games. If you're lucky enough to be doing a job you like, then at least you got that going for you. The candles are pretty good so customers love coming back.
Pros
Nice employee discount, decent jobs, room to grow
Cons
Boring or highly stressful, can get fired easily
