Good mission statement and goal, poor work environment and management.

The mission of the clinic was great with a goal of promoting spay and neuter of animals, as well as provide the community with low cost care. The work environment is somewhat unprofessional, with management being on a power trip. They will make it clear that they “do not need you” and put themselves above you. If the clinic could focus more on the mission rather than drama or go under new management the clinic would be great:

Bad work environment

I don’t recommend working here. There is no communication, management is terrible, and you’ll constantly feel like you’re walking on eggshells. You’ll be overworked for low pay. It’s a bad working environment! Look somewhere more positive where you'll be treated right.

Waste of time

I see the same issue from prior employees here. Poor management and letting go of great help for no real good reasons. They love to clean house. You will waste your time working here and be stressed out due to short staffing. Highly suggest to look else where.

Do not work here!!!

They promise your the world and when you are a team player they treat you like the dirt on the floor. The new manager fires you if you don’t agree or if you challenge her decisions. You get blamed for things that are not your fault and they tell you they have proof but can’t/won’t show it to you because it doesn’t exist.

Has become a horrible workplace

I loved working at act when I first got hired but they just got new management about a month ago and she's terrible. They have become so money hungry its ridiculous. They are short staffed , firing great vets and employees because we stand up for ourselves and they claim they are making changes for the better but the work environment is horrible. Morale is low, staff is stressed and not happy. DO NOT WORK HERE THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR STAFF OR THE ANIMALS.

Horrible management

The management at ACT is absolutely horrible! They put people with little to no experience into the position, and they are constantly changing from one manager to another. They are constantly firing people and works are constantly quitting. Rules, policies, and procedures are changing every 5 minutes. No one seems to know what they are doing since people are coming and going so frequently. The employees are never trained properly, and they get rid of anyone who actually seems to want to do the job. The front desk people have to pick up slack of other employees who are too lazy to do their own jobs and then the front enders are overworked and getting in trouble for things they have no control over. Would not recommend this horrid place to my enemy’s.

Really Care about animals

This was a great job if you love animals. Pay is low. Management pushed ethical boundaries. Work from home position. Overall enjoyed the position. Lay offs were a surprise.

Don't believe a thing management promises

ACT made a lot of promises they never followed through on. Management changes weekly so who can blame them for losing track? My hours ended up being almost double what they were supposed to be. My daily schedule was double booked. Everyone is stressed and miserable. Management is rarely present in the building and make important decisions without even understanding the daily flow of their own business. When they are in the building they are increadibly disruptive and unprofessional.

Unstable

Very unstable work place management is constantly changing rules, firing employees, refusing to give raises, even cutting pay. they wont hire new people so the people who are there are having to work double for little pay.

ACT's Mission is my Mission

I love this organization and everything it stands for! I love interacting with the animals, clients and staff daily. Being in a management position often requires long hours and hard work but if you love what you do it's not considered work, it's your passion!

Don't work here unless you give them boundaries for relief work

Not completely terrible for the vaccine clinic job but this place is not well managed and can be frustrating for a good DVM to work....make them honor contract times but realize the techs have been given too much latitute and you may not feel good after the work (your input is minimal), also demand better pay if they work you way past deadlines. If you think you will get lunch, be sure to stipulate that although it is unlikely with the day's schedule and how things are managed. Very disorganized and frustrating overall there are better jobs out there unless they offer more money for the job and honor contract times.

Worst management and people in charge

If your looking to work in a stable, positive and healthy environment where you can make a difference this is not the job place for you. If you are lazy and want to get paid for not using your brain or the education you paid for, if your actually certified, then this is the job place for you, you will fit right in. Those who are certified and know anything about veterinary medicine and care, I urge you to stay clear of this mess, you will be very disappointed.

Bad place

Horrible management, over worked and under paid. History of letting great technicians go for no reason. No benefits and lots of drama. Expect either to many hours or absolutely none.

Bad management that feels employees are expendable

ACT had a bunch of great people working there under terrible management. The owner and the board make decisions about what goes on in the clinic but never come in and don't know what actually goes on. You get over worked and under paid. They have a history of firing people without reason at any time even if they are good workers. There were a lot of great technicians which made it fun to work there but mostly everyone has been fired or left. There is a lot of drama that goes on as well.

A place where I truly feel that I'm making a difference

I love working at ACT! Every day that I come in to work, I know that it is going to be different. It is going to be an adventure. That I am going to be learning something new. That I'm going to be working with people who love animals, love what they do, are amazing at what they do and I get along with and have fun working with.

Loved my co-workers.

The day to day life was hit or miss. Management was very poor with little leadership. Certain unwise decisions had impacted 40+ employees.
