Great place to work to be challenged and utilize your skills to think fast and react quickly! You never know what is going to happen making it always exciting! This place isn't for everyone; you really have to love what you do! You have to be strong and your love for animals has to be undeniable. Very satisfying job to have if you need a challenge and have the skillset!

Good medicine, poor leadership

The vets who work here are awesome and it's obvious that they know what they are doing. There are a lot of long term employees who contribute to both the good morale and the rumor mill. Management does little to proactively lead the team.

Pros: If you like to save animals, this is a great place. These people are really trying to help animals and the community.
Cons: Money goes to help the animals, which is great, but wages are fairly low.

Be prepared to work overnights. I was young when I worked this job and so it was fine for me. You really have to know your stuff because when there is a true emergency they need you to act and not hesitate. At an Emergency Hospital you are either monitoring animals or entering notes or it is crazy busy. The Owner of the clinic was Great, but the manager was not so great. The nursesand doctors where wonderful at teaching and just a pleasure to work with.
