What is the best part of working at the company?The children! They bring you soo much joy, knowing you’re going to see them everyday. Also, being able to be on of the people that lightens up their day is so rewarding!What is the most stressful part about working at the company?I would say trying to adapt to other teachers working styles. Some are old fashion, some are new school, and some just have their own way. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?It’s very welcoming. You definitely feel like that is where yuppie supposed to beWhat is a typical day like for you at the company?Sitting in the front office for a bit in the morning speaking with the secretary and principal and assistant principal. Head to my assigned class. Get things in order for the day. Maybe ask some other teachers for a bit of help or advice for certain lessons. Work with the children; morning breakfast, math, guided reading, English, lunch, recess, social studies, science, cultural arts.

Don’t recommend

If you are younger you will be treated less then. If you actually do you job you will be treated less then. This is no respect. Only reason to work there is for the time off. Bosses never listen when you report things. All of your coworkers gossip non stop. You only get paid for half of your day. So many things I could say but I will only state these few.

Fulfilled its purpose at the time part-time job sadly couldn't afford the insurance on the part-time salary like most jobs over worked & under paid but the environment was nice.

What is the best part of working at the company?Flexible schedule and there’s never a dull moment.What is the most stressful part about working at the company?I’m often taken from the class I’ve signed up for to another where my experience doesn’t match the class. My physical condition is not taken into consideration.What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Supportive and family-like. Teachers and staff appreciate substitutes.

I wasn't even questioned at Chesapeake High School when i told the interviewer that i am hard of hearing and need some type of assistance at time of interview, even thought she offered assistant with interview process and then all she did was letting me know what the job was all about and let me go, even thought i excel on my housekeeping skills and i know they Chesapeake High School lost a valuable employ by losing me!
