I love Apara’s overall mission and I think ABA is amazing. I also think the CEO is very helpful and so sweet and nice. However, I am extremely dissatisfied with this company and how they handle certain situations. For example, there are SO many clients at certain clinics that it feels more as a day care, rather than therapy. The BCBA’s never want to get their hands dirty and change a diaper or clean an accident. They talk down to RBT’s and I have gone to upper management and BCBA’s about how things are handled and all I do is get ignored and over looked. The hours are TERRIBLE and if you need to change your availability then there needs to be a notice about it months in advance. The BCBA’s literally make supervisions so uncomfortable and demeaning. . There are also people in grad school making 17$ per hour despite people with NO experience and NO degree making 20$. They also handle COVID situations so UNPROFESSIONALLY, and will not notify you of close contact with a covid positive client. It’s just ridiculous.

Most of the 5 star reviews are written by management themselves to cover up the low ratings. No opportunity for growth compared to other clinics and extremely negative environment. The company may have started off with the right vision, but has lost its potential. Turnover rate is extremely high with siblings/family members being hired to fill in numbers for the company.
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in Houston, TX

Apara is without a doubt the best ABA clinic I’ve worked at in Houston. I have over 3+ years of experience in the field and even though work needs to be done, this company truly cares. They give the extra mile for their employees and clients and are always open to feedback. They continuously work on ways to support their employees and the pay is very good, compared to other clinics in the area. Schedules are flexible and the work environment is very healthy.
RBT Therapist in Sugar Land, TX

If you actually want to learn and do great in this field, DON’T APPLY. If you just want to sit around and get paid good to basically babysit, then apply. Most disorganized ABA company, horrible management and scheduling is a nightmare. Clients do not have consistent therapist and training is chaotic. They hire literally anyone and barley give hours, your schedule changes every hour, and no support system. Management is demeaning and pompous.

Amazing fast pace company to work for! RBT is a challenging career and our BCBAs and Clinical Directors are ready to be flexible, supportive, and give always positive feedback.
