As a cna it’s one of the cleaner places I’ve work. It’s more then enough linen, carts, supplies,ect. The downside is the management. They are rude and talk to you like a child. Never anywhere to be find and when found will not help with any issues. Also the place is always short staffed and seem to never be able to keep CNAs or Nurses.

Workplace preference

I was hired as a CNA it was horrible and I was behavioral aide for a short period it wasn't terrible. I just wish they'd care for Staff Safety equally as they do their Resident. CPI training doesn't teach you how to prepare for the unexpected. I was assualted by two residents in the same month. I loved my job and the people I worked with however I disliked being ignored by my superiors.

Depends on the day…

Some days, working here is great!! Super easy and clean. But other days… short staffed, disgusting food, rude coworkers, etc. The management is absolutely terrible and only care about vaping and gossiping behind closed doors.

Overworked and under paid

A typical day at work for me would always be running around trying to get everything done and so I can start activities and the smoke breaks on time. This place is frequently understaffed and the extra workload is put on the employees. The residents are nice and made my job enjoyable. I wouldn't recommend this job to anyone unless you want to be worked to death with little pay. The Administrator is very condescending and not personable. There is a lot a favoritism going on here too.

This company is the worst

Aperion Care bought the facility I was working at when I had already been working there for about two and a half years. Once they took over everything went downhill. They cut staff several times and also refused to give staff raises that they were promised when the company took over. The food provided is lower quality and a lot of the time they don’t even provide enough money to buy enough food for all the residents. Once the company took over the entire mood of the building changed, it once felt like a small tight knit community where people cared about each other but now it’s been corporatized and no one wants to help each other because they are already overworked. It was a sad sight to see.

This facility felt like home for a very long time. I worked there for a year and a half then we got a new administrator and DON and I ended up getting fired with an open workmans comp case with no proof of the accusation.

The management sucks at this place. I worked here for almost 2 years, an for over 11 months I was the ONLY laundry person. The management helped me not one time. I was off on vacation for 4 days in a row an when I showed back up and he laundry was literally to the ceiling. Management does not step in an help out at all.

Great Staff, Residents and Families!

Working with the company for 15 years, Aperion Care Peoria Heights has has ups and downs however, the current staff at the facility are Awesome and Corporate staff is always very helpful! Residents always seem happy, I very much enjoy my visits to the facility!
