Apex is a great place to work!
Talent Acquisition (Current Employee) –  Eden Prairie, MNApril 17, 2019
The culture at Apex is like none I have ever seen. It is a fun, collaborative, and fast-paced environment that allows you to provide input and ideas into the work you do on a day to day basis. The leadership team wants to grow their employees and promote within which is so important when looking for an organization.

Supply Chain Analyst (Former Employee) –  Eden Prairie, MNJanuary 27, 2019
Management and owner doesn't care about the workers or the customers. Poor decision making, no advancement. Management likes to have drama among people, not a professional workplace. Poor decisions in promoting people (lazy individuals)

Value Stream Manager (Former Employee) –  Eden Prairie, MNJanuary 27, 2019
The company is constantly chasing a moving target when it comes to achieving goals. The worst part is that unethical practices and cutting corners becomes an every day part of the routine. Hiring and promoting is primarily based on who you know and not the skillset of the applicant. There is an unwillingness by leaders in the company to be accountable to themselves and the employees. The decisions made are typically short sided and end up harming the company long term, especially the production employees
Pros
Fast paced
Cons
Poor Executive Leadership, poor ethics, treats production employees as numbers, different expectations based on ethnicity and gender

Validation Specialist (Current Employee) –  Eden Prairie, MNAugust 11, 2018
I still currently work at this company and feel that I should not place a review that is able to be read by the public yet. Validation specialist role is a unique role with both pros and cons.
Pros
Decent benefits, job security, good quality group
Cons
I will decline to answer until I have left the company.

Payroll Administrator/Accounts Payable (Former Employee) –  Eden Prairie, MNJanuary 15, 2018
Nice office, good manager, but lacking in that daily social aspect. You could work 10-12 hours a day and no one would say a word to you. Great flexibility work schedule.
Pros
very flexible

Formulation Chemist II (Former Employee) –  Chaska, MNDecember 21, 2017
At a contract manufacturer, you are able to gain a ton of experience in a short period of time, having to work for several clients and their unique formulations. Much of my formulation experience was learned in this kind of environment.

you will never advance in a place that your manager/supervisors know less than you do and don't make me start with their HR personnel - she is lucky to have a job

Flexible but training is poor.
Line Technician (Former Employee) –  Chaska, MNJuly 7, 2017
Very hard to communicate with other workers due to English not being their first language. Other workers throw their duties onto newcomers. Training is really poor but they did put an effort into it. High pace workplace with lots of demand. Many hot days caused work to be harder than normal. The best part was some of the people who worked there.
Pros
Reasonable pay and very understanding
Cons
Short breaks, poor training, ugly bathrooms, some people were mean

boring work
Ops II (Former Employee) –  Chaska, MNMay 17, 2017
It wasn't a bad place to work. Long boring hours doing menial labor. Lots of mandatory overtime, not a whole lot of weekends free when the company gets busy. They often times wouldn't tell us we had to work that weekend until Thursday or even Friday... Your very expendable, but I guess that's the case in a lot of manufacturing work.
Pros
Occational meal, Christmas giftcard... maybe, some free stuff
Cons
Mandatory overtime, little vacation time

High Energy Workplace
Non-Disclosed (Current Employee) –  Springfield Gardens, NYJanuary 17, 2017
Management takes interest in the business and employees, only downfall I see is the work/life balance. Management works around the clock, as they own a share of the company, and employees seem to mimic the same.

Production Worker II (Former Employee) –  Chaska, MNNovember 17, 2016
The company itself is great. The hours available fluctuate. As entry level most of the work is standing at a production line and screwing on caps. the benefits were great. The co-workers are pretty great. they all work as a team and help out wherever needed.

Apex always keeps you on your toes - it's something new everyday. This is the hardest part of the job, but, at the same time, the most enjoyable. The people are great - energetic and willing to help you grow.
