Great place to work!

Before taking on my new career at Apollo Home I had been a subcontractor. I had never realized how efficiently and productive a well oiled company can be ran with all the parts working in unison.

Bait and switch

Ethics are not included in their business model. If you work here You will be sent to a high fiving, back slapping, high energy sales seminar. The “apprenticeship” program is a sales program.

Pros

$10 gift cards. Lol

Amazing

In the plumbing service industry it’s very difficult to balance the work and home life, and still take care of your customers needs properly and in a timely fashion. Apollo has done a great job of this. They have built a great team with management that has experience of being a tech in the field. In a very difficult field they have developed a culture that makes it worth it.

Not fun

Worked at this company for 4 months. Made them a ridiculous amount of money and they kicked me out the door because I had a disagreement with management. I also saw their #1 plumber get fired for a minor disagreement. This place has a revolving door of people coming and going. They put people in trucks and send them to work on peoples homes with zero experience. They’ll send you to a crash coarse two week thing in Arizona or some bull first. They forced me to go to Minnesota for salesman training. They’re a soulless company. Greeeeeedy people. Very greedy. Quick to screw you over too. Oh and if you work here you’ll have to get comfortable with taking advantage of old people or weak people and it’ll get pretty old charging people WAAAAAAY too much

Horrible management, They pretend to care, Sheep in wolfs clothing, Steer clear

productive work place but not a happy or fun environment

very productive company with good leadership who invests in education and training for their employees. Fast paced environment with reasonable goals. Workplace culture is very dramatic and immature with a high turn over as a result. Most difficult part of job is accomplishing outbound call expectation and inbound call requirements at the same time. Most enjoyable part of job was leadership was willing to listen to ideas and help bring them to fruition.

Pros

commission opportunities

Cons

healthcare and micromanagement

The worst place to work. You. Have to wait for your 1st service call and not get paid

The bosses / management has no real trade experience. They try to get you to be ready 40 hours a week for work. Ypu wait for your call and not get paid . you end up doing 50 hours to get 30 to 35. Forget this place. You can do better anywhere other than here

Pros

None

Cons

Very cheap on the wage

I love my job and love working at Apollo. The employees are professionals and get along in this small office.

This company is a lean company. Hard work is noticed and recognized. Respect for each other is a big part of this companies appeal. Training is given and opportunity to advance is available should you want too. Incentive's are also a big part of this companies appeal. Best job i have ever had.

Pros

flexible working hours, full kitchen, good benefits.

Cons

Parking

Fun and competitive place to work

The training program is great! They really make sure that you’re prepared for when you’re in the field. The owner really makes you feel appreciated and want to come to work. You don’t feel like just a name or a number. It’s a family environment.

Pros

Training, family environment

Not for real tradesman

If your a salesman it's a great place. If you are a true tradesman with customer best at heart not a good place for you. Pay is ok but if you are not in the click you will not make alot.

Pros

Good place to learn

Cons

Work you to death

Fun place to work and great group of people

Apollo has been very good to me. I started here not knowin anything in this field. They have invested a lot of time and money into me to get me where I am today. There are plenty of ways to advance and make money at Apollo. I've seen other reviews that say that you have to be a salesman and work a bunch of hours. All I can say is that you make what you wanna make pretty much. If you don't put fourth the effort then you're not going to make money for yourself or the company. I come in everyday and do my job to the best of my ability and I am rewarded for it. It's a really fun company and the boss always makes it interesting. All of my fellow techs have always been quick to offer help if I needed it and the management staff has always been good to me. I do ocassionally work crazy hours but that's the nature of the business during peak seasons. It's a small price to pay to be a hero for those unfortunate people that don't have heat in the winter or ac in the summer. I look forward to what the future holds here at Apollo. Have a fanatical day!!!!

Pros

Money to be made, learning a trade, flexible and people

Cons

None at this time

underhanded and unconcerned

Management cares only about the almighty dollar and nothing for work/family balance. When you try to set boundaries you will be iced out. Saw at least 30 techs come and go in the final year I worked there. Turnover was so high that they decided to change their tool account policy from a tool return policy to a you owe policy without informing employees because they got tired of getting stuck with the tools. To make up for their technicians experience levels (avg tech about 6 months of experience), the techs that work there long enough to show that they know a little get called to play cleanup at the end of the day and work long hours. They shove product down customers throats and if you aren't selling you will not last long.

Pros

money to be made if youre a salesperson.

Cons

devalue the technician

Ok place to work, but not outstanding

This is only a company for someone who does not mind working long hours. They always seemed to have plenty of work so you will get paid fairly well. The pay grade is good and the coworkers are ok. If you have an issue with commission or incentive pay, then you will have issues working here. Overall, it would be a good place for a young tech to cut his/her teeth.

Pros

very nice service trucks

Cons

excessive hours
