Sales Marketing (Former Employee) –  Las Colinas, TXJune 27, 2019
You will not be respected and will be told you don't know anything. Expectations are unreasonable and if promises are not in writing it doesn't exist.
Pros
Take the money, not the stock. Worthless.
Cons
You will be fired before you qualify to buy stock. Company never going public.

Human Resources (Current Employee) –  Irving, TexasAugust 5, 2018
This organization leaders have not made a mission statement or communicate values. They micromanage and treat employees with little respect.

The workplace culture is punitive and depressing. People lack motivation or inspiration from leaders.

Hard working company constantly searching for new clients.
Senior Technical Writer/Proposal Manager (Former Employee) –  Irving, TXJune 2, 2018
I was able to put my ideas and thoughts into a complete opportunity process guide which set the tone for proposal management.

Proposal team had a very good run at making cuts with clients. Sales team needed more skills in closing the deals that were made available via the proposal team efforts.

Toxic Atmosphere due Mostly to CEO Attitude
Accounting (Former Employee) –  Irving, TXMay 8, 2018
I would never recommend working for this company. While there are a lot of really good, hard working employees that work at Apptricity, that fact could never offset the negativity of the CEO. He is only out to make as much money as HE can...by standing on the backs of his employees. He doesn't care about anyone but himself. I have seen him steal deals from salesmen simply because he didn't want to pay a commission. His attitude has the "trickle down" effect and causes the other executives in the company to have an "I don't care" attitude. They know (or find out shortly after being hired) that no matter how much they care or try to do it will always be shot down by the CEO. So everyone ends up not caring. The benefits are expensive, the PTO is a good policy except you are made to feel so guilty when you request time off that most people never use their PTO. The CEO is such a micro-manager, that he has installed cameras in the office so he can see where you are and what you are doing at all times. He rescinded the work from home policy because he never believed that people were actually working from home...he always believes the worst of everyone. Do not waste your time with this company - it will never change because the CEO will never change.
Pros
Co-workers are great
Cons
You are not trusted to do your job; micro managed all the time

A nice place to work
iOS Developer (Former Employee) –  Irving, TXFebruary 13, 2018
So long as you don't get near management.

My typically work day was short meetings and dealing with expected and mapped out issues. And so long as progress was made, people were happy. That said... don't expect opinions to be respected and even when they say there's a choice in something, it's already been made and your input will be found inadequate for making any changes to it.
Pros
Good healthcare and vacations

Management, it runs through a revolving door

Stay Away
Regional Sales Executive (Current Employee) –  Foothill Ranch, CADecember 4, 2017
Unless you are hired for the federal government side, stay away. Most of the product is 5 years behind the competition with little to know R&D especially on the SCM side of the business.
CEO is dishonest and will take accounts from behind your back. They have no intent of paying commissions.

Priorities shift daily and this causes chaos throughout development and the rest of the company. This does keep you busy though so you will never get bored. Its also quite entertaining watching the CEO yell at people as things fall apart.

Corporate Receptionist (Former Employee) –  Irving, TXJuly 17, 2017
The office is like a revolving door and the CEO is rude to everyone. CEO will yell and scream profanities at employees in front of others. People quit on a daily basis and I went through 4 managers within a year.
Pros

Toxic, Unprofessional Dead End
Marketing (Former Employee) –  Irving, TXMarch 18, 2016
Possibly the worst work environment ever known. The company is on a death spiral under the control of founder and owner. Leadership team remaining cowers down to tyranical beat down. Only in it for himself and could care less of anyone else.

Known for it's below market saleries, lack of any kind of onboarding and no career development unless you can stomach the cronyism, mindlessness and bellicose beratement needed to even palate a work day without controlled narcotics.

Gloom, dispair, artificiality...are words that come to mind. Just do yourself a favor and just say he!! no.
Pros
Payroll still made for now, but anticipate either a lockout, or Chapter 14, or both.
Cons
Slowpay expsenses, nickle & dime you, pays >120 days or not at all. This con's list is infinate, but most of all don't get conned by this dishonest, unethical and unprofessional business.

Average Work Environment
Developer (Former Employee) –  Irving, TXSeptember 15, 2015
I was grateful that Apptricity gave me an opportunity to work with them. The interview process was very positive. I was excited at first for what I thought would be a great experience.

However, once I started working there it was not as fulfilling as I was expecting. There was no new hire orientation. As a newly hired employee it was difficult to get to know anyone and I had to figure things out on my own. There are lots of cubicles and people tend to stay to themselves. There are some nice people at Apptricity, but the tone of some of the Managers and other Developers was very blunt and condescending. There was a high employee turn over. Instead of feeling like you can grow and develop, if you struggled to understand something or had a question you would be talked to like you were an idiot. Instead of feeling like you have support you spend time questioning yourself.

The computers and devices used for programming were old and your request for any kind of upgrade or additional needed equipment would be overlooked. The wireless network was often down or slow so it was difficult to test or demo your work.

They are trying to improve things by having more company events and providing fresh fruit in the mornings. They have also made some changes in management. It might be getting better but I was never that happy. Overall, it was disappointing.
Pros
