I worked in customer service so answering calls and general paperwork. The environment was not the friendliest and some people lacked consideration. I did not enjoy working in customer service at aqua.

No direction of upper management, too many secrets. I was promised to be taught several things before my employment and it never happened. Too busy to teach me but not too busy to chit chat for hours every day.

You can be the best employee, dedicated, honest, hard worker but It is not very motivating knowing that based on your job grade you will be receiving the same compensation as your fellow co worker who takes afternoon naps

Alot of work,with little pay,mostly everyone in the call center was unhappy.

The hardest part of the job is retaining a lot of info,in a short period of time after being "trained" for 8 different states.Typical day is taking calls from customers,who can't pay their water/sewer bill,and constantly reinstating agreements,that are broken every month,basically saying the same thing over and over,management was fine,supervisor was not.Good company to work for,if your not doing Customer Service.

Nice coworkers, no weekends or mandatory overtime, 1 hour lunch break.
Cons
Alot of computer and program issues, micro managment, low pay, different departments not on the same page, etc

Love my job, sometimes hard to be consistent due to constant change

I enjoy my work. I have the opportunity to assist our Customers with Their concerns about the billing process. A typical day at Aqua consist of constant change. Management is constantly changing and to some point very unprofessional. My co-workers are somewhat tense and stressed most of the time. The hardest part of my job is working with the dysfunction.

The top managers at Aqua only care about one thing: making themselves richer at the expense of employees and customers. Customers don't have a choice whether they use Aqua water -- they are stuck and the company knows that.

MANY good employees are looking to get out and probably will once the economy starts to improve.

If you just need a job to carry you over, where you can punch in and punch out, and make an OK living (not great, but OK), with so-so benefits, this might be the place for you.

If you want to work for a company that cares about people, gives you an opportunity to better yourself, offers any kind of modern perks (cafeteria, fitness center, flex time, etc.) look somewhere else.
