You did not get guidance or assistance unless you gushed over RDO. People around her lacked knowledge needed to be productive if they ever came to the building.

I think there are ways aristacare can improve, but overall the experience is good. The residents are amazing people and they truly brighten my day with their advice.
Pros
Three breaks, nice staff, amazing residents

Do not waste your time to work here
CNA (Current Employee) –  South Plainfield, NJJuly 1, 2019
They over work and under pay. They want you to make sacrifices for the company but won’t Pay overtime. The work conditions are horrible and it’s definitely favoritism. They want you to do your work shut up and don’t complain. Department Supervisors are lazy and don’t take accountability for their screwups, they want us to sign a lot of in-services to cover their necks. Do not work here, it is not worth your time, degnity, or pay!

Nurse (Former Employee) –  Whiting, NJJune 22, 2019
I’ll start that the nursing and general staff all work hard and are very dedicated to the patients. Management unfortunately wasn’t concerned enough about short staffing to help us on the floors- they never stayed late or came in on weekends to help us. Money became every excuse- “corporate restructuring” and “corporate says...” was always the excuse why budgets were cut, supplies not ordered and bonuses taken away. You pay for a union that doesn’t do much and you have to “buy” your time off.
Pros
Great line staff
Cons
Missed breaks often, short staffed, no management support

Certified Nurses Aide (Current Employee) –  Manchester TW, NJJune 13, 2019
I have worked for this company for many years and have had my share of ups and downs working here, the staff are well trained, energetic and caring. Administration, management and Directors are approachable and friendly. Any concerns are addressed promptly and fairly. They have many employee moral events that administration, management and all staff can attend, and are encouraged to do so. Great way to get to know your fellow employee outside the work environment. Overall I feel that Aristacare is a friendly, professional and fun company to work for.

Director (Former Employee) –  Meadville, PAMay 24, 2019
Extremely bad experience working for this company. Employees do not work as a team and back stab one another like children. Management does not help. Constantly changing management and nothing gets better.

New administrator and DON. The administrator do not know how to talk to her employees she has poor management skills, this place is horrible when it comes to teamwork. I would not recommend anyone to work here. The workplace culture has gone down hill. Very poor salary. Over worked and under paid!

CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant (Former Employee) –  Cherry Hill, NJApril 23, 2019
This facility is not clean. The first floor was to entice people who were looking for a place for a loved one. Once you got upstairs, it was nasty, it smelled, and you ALWAYS work short staffed on 11-7. The pay was ok, but it really wasn’t worth it. I worked per diem for 4 years.
Pros
5 minute drive from my house and great Christmas parties for staff.
Cons
Everything else, management, Administration.

Licensed Practical Nurse (Current Employee) –  Orbisonia, PAMarch 3, 2019
The nursing staff is a great group to work with. There is a lot put on the nursing staff with not enough time in the day to complete it. The most enjoyable part of the job is interacting with the residents.

Not a pleasant place to work.
Activity aid (Former Employee) –  Manchester, NJFebruary 17, 2019
Very Hosp like setting. Management was not friendly very distant employees were not not friendly. Everyone spied on each other. Residents were not able to go out side. The wheel chair bound. Lots of marketing events. In which activity staff had to serve dinners.
Benefits were great. However was not easy with the atmosphere of team work and making an enjoyable day.
Pros
Free lunch. Benefits.
Cons
No team work

Very unorganized company rules change all time.
Licensed Practical Nurse (Former Employee) –  Huntingdon, PA 16652January 31, 2019
No room for advancement. Management picks who they want where. If you aren't in their click of likes you aren't going anywhere. Aides and floor staff treated badly. Lots of stress because you are watching aides kill themselves because of resident to aid ratio. Nurses left to fend for themselves management will never go to the floor to help even tho they are certified! Change in insurance which is now garbage and not enough pay. Constant changes from day to day duties. Room changes constantly being made at the busiest time of the work day. Constantly told about "budget" we need to follow so we could make the place look better while staff was being burnt and residents not getting care they deserve. I would not recommend this place to anyone. VERY stressful.
Pros
Staff and residents
Cons
Treated like a child, no respect from management, sucky insurance and pay

This company isn’t good at all.
CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant (Current Employee) –  Orbisonia, PAJanuary 26, 2019
First off the benefits they say they pay, they don’t. Short everyone’s checks and PTO time. Say they fix something but only makes it worse. This company does not take care of its employees.
Pros
Most workers are like family.
Cons
No help. Short staffed. Doesn’t pay fair wages.

unit clerk (Former Employee) –  Ivy Hill, PADecember 30, 2018
Management is poor & lack communication, they all worry what you look like vs what you bring to the table. Your doing things thats not in your job description, not worth the stress. You fill in for everybody then they don't explain the job when you first start you learn something new everyday .
Pros
leave early

stress, poor management

Learned valuable lessons while developing bonds with residents
Recreation Assistant (Former Employee) –  Plainfield, NJDecember 15, 2018
AristaCare residents shared their wisdom and knowledge with employees when they felt like a bond had been formed. Management seemed not to care too much about the welfare of employees and sometimes event the patients.

Bad environment
LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) (Current Employee) –  Williamsport, PANovember 24, 2018
Very bad environmental to work in. Nothing gets followed through with. Assistant administrator is a joke. Regional director is an even bigger joke. She is the problem ! She single handily is destroying that place. The management focuses on who they like instead of who is qualified. This isn’t high school girls ! The residents truly lack the care they deserve and are paying for. Always falls and bad care
Pros
residents.
Cons
Bad upper management
