It was terrible
Lead Pre-School Teacher (Former Employee) –  Houlton, MESeptember 24, 2018
I advanced quickly but was continuously harassed and bullied by my immediate supervisor making the work conditions unbearable. The higher-ups were fine and the trainings were phenomenal. The families and children I worked with were great.

Great place to work helping others
Employment Counselor (Former Employee) –  Presque Isle, MEOctober 27, 2014
ACAP was a wonderful place to work. This is a non profit agency serving people in northern Maine who may not be served through other programs. The work involves helping others and making their liv better. Much of the funding to this agency is from government contracts so pay is not always competitive with similar government of for profit employers but ACAP always makes an effort to treat staff well including programs to improve health and staff training and education. In such an organization the management structure is quite flat son the difference between management and staff is small. The result is staff are often involved in developing and planning program services and creating their work environment. If helping people a life goal then ACAP may be a great place to work.
Pros
Work helping people who need help
Cons
Fair but not great pay and not much room to advance

Classroom Supervisor - Teacher II (Former Employee) –  Caribou, MEMay 1, 2012
This was a wonderful group of women to work with...everyone get along, and works well together...Off site management misinformed and easily swayed by people in daily contact, however work sites are filled with very friendly, dedicated, hard working, well informed, professionals.
Pros
great benefits
Cons
inconsistancies from management
