Pricing Specialist (Current Employee) –  Englewood, COJanuary 14, 2019
There is no room for growth in this department. You tend to feel stagnant and management is constantly changing. Different teams have different workplace culture depending on your manager. There has been quite a bit of turnover as well.

Total lousy place to work
Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Gahanna, OHJanuary 8, 2019
The HR Dept. is such a joke.
I personally have seen the representative literally break the rules in her favor for personal gain. Not Good.

Hard work does not pay off in this company.

They are always looking for a "fall guy" to blame instead of themselves.
Pros
None
Cons
Too many to list.

Don't Judge a Book by its Cover
Customer Support Representative (Former Employee) –  Denver, COJanuary 8, 2019
Arrow Electronics is a place that compensates extremely well, but there's no job security or clear path to promotion. Favorites game is strong.

It's all about who you know in the company and how much they like you that will pave your path to success. Otherwise, work is limited, days are long, boring and unfulfilling, and they ramp up hires just to let them go later on.

Accounts Payable Analyst (Current Employee) –  Englewood, CODecember 24, 2018
I have worked here for 4.75 years and have asked several times to more than Accounts Payable. Have been told on several occasions, that I am the A/P queen, so I am unable to advance my career at Arrow.

Typical Activities at Arrow Electronics
FAE Embedded Specialist (Former Employee) –  San Jose, CA & Duluth, GADecember 22, 2018
Typical day is reviewing and acting on customer product designs with supplying responses to their questions and offering recommendations of what new technologies will help meet their goals. Day can include customer meetings, driving workshops for explaining new technologies, customer specific presentations, setting up customer meetings, managing time to create weekly reports on design progress to management.
Hardest part is when upper management demands new reports to be created immediately causing one to drop his/her current activity and comply. The most enjoyable part of the job was seeing how the customer can use the new technology just discussed in his new project. There is also a big push for all technical resources to be up to date on supplier certification requirements, which takes time to accomplish which pushed this activity to evenings and weekends, especially if the days are full with customer activities.
Pros
supporting large variety of new customer designs for completeness and quality
Cons
Immediate demands for customer design activity for various suppliers, unreasonable metrics

Global Director Technology & Data Analytics (Current Employee) –  Denver, CODecember 19, 2018
A typical work day at Arrow can vary quite a bit. End of month and quarters are quite busy--working well past 40 hours per week.

Management is very dependent on who you work for. Management styles vary widely from group to group.

I do have the opportunity to travel which is fun.
Pros
Travel
Cons
Inability to see a clear strategic roadmap

Contractor-Product Management
Product Asset Manager-Contract (Former Employee) –  Denver, CODecember 18, 2018
I was a contractor, so I did not receive any benefits but the permanent employees seemed very happy with them. I would be open to returning to Arrow in another role.

Not a place to advance
Financial Analyst (Former Employee) –  Englewood, CODecember 13, 2018
A fine place if you wish to be stuck in your current role. There is an unfortunate lack of communication between different divisions making the transition between them all but impossible.

AEROSPACE AND DEFENSE ACCOUNT SPECIALIST (Former Employee) –  Eden Prairie, MNDecember 3, 2018
What you would expect for a fortune 200 company. People are great, management is stressed and you will be over worked. You are a faceless number on a spread sheet.

Marketing (Current Employee) –  Englewood, CONovember 30, 2018
The company sees no potential in investing in their employees. They have constant deadlines and work/life balance is off. I know of coworkers who would stay up all night getting no sleep to make a deadline. The turnover rate is so high that it makes a hostile environment to work in. I would not recommend this job to anyone. The company is dying out because they keep cutting employees and leaving more work to the overworked ones.
Pros
Free lunches and nice gym
Cons
No breaks, high turnover, poor communication, poor values

Supplier Accounting Coordinator (Current Employee) –  Centennial, CONovember 26, 2018
I was signed for 6 months temp to hire but there are people in my group who have been here over a year and they are still temp. No holiday pay or benefits for temps here. I am looking for something better. This company could easily afford to hire permanent employees but their only concern is the bottom line.
Cons
Mandatory overtime

The people are nice but the company is so bad
Inside Sales Representative (Former Employee) –  Bloomington, MNNovember 13, 2018
The people are nice, but the company is so bad. They let people hanging , not giving them full time, and they get rid of them without ever looking at their performances. Performances don't matter which did not drive motivations at work..
