Ghetto call center
Account Representative (Former Employee) –  SomewhereMarch 26, 2019
By far the worst place to work at. Don’t waste your time noir energy. The supervisors were messier than the girls on the floor. The building was old and smelled, dialing people 3-4 times a day, rude people on the phone, not very good feed back from supervisor, hounding people for money even when they clearly say they don’t have the funds to pay, and just an overall stressful environment. If you have a conscience and a heart go elsewhere. Would not recommend this job to my worst enemy.

Dialer/ Receptionist/Account Representative (Former Employee) –  Escondido, CAApril 1, 2018
Working at ARS was the most interesting experience I've had since I started working. None of the employees care about their jobs and it is very laid back in regards to work ethic and dress wear. Depending on your job position it could either be very cut throat or laid back. The schedule here is very flexible and they will work with you if you have something come up. They give you sick time off and are constantly having raffles(with amazing prizes) and giving out free food if a certain team hits their goal. They also held contest to keep employees healthy and gave gifts and had an awesome break room. Supervisors are generally great people but corporate is also on location and they tend to be not so great. It is so hard to get a pay raise you have to fight tooth and nail so I recommend you get the highest amount possible going in. No one cares if you show up late or leave early. And you are not valued there. There is an obscenely high turn over rate because this place drains you. The work is very repetitive. If you need the flexibility and are okay with being on a commission based salary and not having a set income this place is for you.
Pros
Free food, amazing supervisor, relaxed enviorment, relaxed dress code
Cons
No benifets, hard to ever get a pay raise, corporate was awful.

Possible to make good money, but competition is very tough. Unless you are a top collector, it is hard to survive on the basic pay. Top collectors can make good money

Good place to start out
Account Representative (Former Employee) –  Escondido, CADecember 10, 2017
If you're just out of high school or need a part-time job this place would be good for you, however as a long-term job I would recommend something else. The people that I worked with were nice, however some of the management officials and policies that have recently come into play aren't truly in the best interest of their employees.

Working at ARS National was a difficult experience, many of it's employees were not happy with the politics within the company. I did not see much room for growth.

it's good at first but then when you see what is really happening, a let down
Account Representative (Current Employee) –  Escondido, CAOctober 25, 2017
lots of promises are made that are never met.it's hard to feel like you are needed and wanted because all signs point to: YOU ARE REPLACEABLE. HR knows how to make you feel small and everyone makes it apparent that your opinion doesnt matter. you are told there will be reviews for compensation and that with hard work you can get commission but these are unfortunate lies. they change the way commission is distributed so that they have a small chance of paying out to the people who work so hard to deserve a little extra. so many happy people get stripped of any joy they once had, it's sad.

if anyone needs a temporary job- go for it, but just know there's no career here. Ask for more when you apply and they offer you your base pay- you probably wont get another chance for a raise for a long time.

Investing in profits not people
Account Representative (Former Employee) –  Rancho Cucamonga, CAAugust 18, 2017
This company cares only about profits, not people. They are constantly finding ways to cut from your income potential to protect profit margins that are falling fast. The Sr. Management was beyond disconnected with the people and culture, they are also not held accountable for their inability to successfully run the company. This job could of been rewarding given a real opportunity, something that could of been >

Only if you really need a job.
Account Representative III (Current Employee) –  Escondido, CAJuly 15, 2017
The company moto is "Be more with less". There is a lot of FAVORTISM. Management finds ways to pay collecters less every few months. They make it impossible for some to hit thier goal and some are fed so they will hit thier goals. If you don't hit your goal they decrease your pay. If you don't fail any calls your supervisor gets a big bonus but if you fail a call it cost your supervisr money.( If you do a god job and not fail a call you should get the bonus.) Some supervisors walk around talking all day and take excessive breaks. In this ad it says the company is growing, not true, the have closed 3 offices. They have a very high turnover and they have recently done a mass firing of good employees that have been there for years (probably because they were making too much money). They only care about saving the company money. This job is VERY STRESSFUL.

The company promises huge growth and chance of advancement but gives you little to no tools to get there.
Very high school atmosphere.
The company is not trying to improve anyone except their already top performers.
Turn over rate is extremely high

Unfair Company
Account Representative (Current Employee) –  Ontario, CAApril 26, 2017
They change the rules on you and then they fire you, instead of helping you become a better collector they without warning let you go. A lot of favoritism within. The Trainer is too much into herself and her boyfriends with the company.

This was a call center environment and I spent 8 to 10 hours daily placing phone calls in an attempt to collect bad debt. The work place culture was unfortunately negative.

you will not have a future there
Account Representative (Former Employee) –  Rancho Cucamonga, CAFebruary 20, 2017
This place starts off as a real fun work place your excited to work but then they start changing the way you do things. They change there rules. They make sure top collectors stay on top and the other do the dirty work. Even the supervisors are in on the games they play. Then they take away your pay once they aren't seeing you growing cause they change there rules every month. The supervisors all just talk to each other and don't care about there team. Then they wonder why no one meets there goals or site goal. And the site director is never there to help her site. Then when you least expect it they will let you go and say it's for production reason cause they can't keep with one thing. Bad place don't work there if your looking for a long term job. Don't waste your time.

Calling people to collect their debts wasnt easy and the training needs to be more focused on how to work with people. They did make the environment fun and the managers were very cool

Not enough reward
Account Representative (Current Employee) –  Escondido, CADecember 23, 2016
This place always seems to find ways to make it harder on you to maintain your pay. Bonus structures changes and Processes to "increase revenue" seem to be more driven to pay less & get more work out of it.

the ONLY saving grace here is how flexible they are with scheduling, and how discipline isn't really a thing there.
