Reviews for HVAC Technician in ARS/Rescue Rooter
Upper management only cares about revenue
HVAC Technician (Former Employee) - Manassas, VA - December 21, 2020
Lots of techs are only techs by title. Mainly sales of equipment no one needs or asks for. Installers constantly throwing in equipment with little to no knowledge of actual working knowledge of how it works.
Cons
Upsale upsale upsale.

It is a typical HVAC Technician job
HVAC Service Technician (Current Employee) - Manassas, VA - November 3, 2017
I don't have any complaints about ARS or it's management. I just want to be able to advance to an installer or commercial technician in the future. I didn't feel that it was possible with ARS.

Too many techs, too few jobs. Management has their head in the clouds
HVAC Service Technician (Former Employee) - Fredericksburg, VA - November 10, 2023
They hired me and a few other techs all at once to do the lower skilled jobs while their more experienced techs worked the harder jobs. Kept saying that everyone would have jobs to do every day. Yet they were sending said experienced techs, along with us, with sub 40 and many sub 30 hour work weeks. And you never knew what jobs you had until you came in that day... Meanwhile UPPER management kept dropping coercive hints to give them all 5 stars... One person sees dollar signs and messes it up for everyone... My direct manager was a good guy and most employees were good people too. Even the HR person was awesome and friendly! If I had the hours, I would have most likely loved to work there.
