Case Manager (Former Employee) –  Mexico, MOOctober 9, 2017
When I first started working for this company, it was fun and rewarding. . Then, the director of the program started being very hateful and manipulative towards me and other employees. They have high turn over in the program I worked in and treat the clients with about as much respect as they treat some of their staff. I just hope they either get it together or they think about staff change a on a level other than the "bottom of the totem pole". Maybe the adult case management supervisors and director should be evaluated. But, everyone in upper management is pretty chummy with each other. So I bet that won't ever happen. Don't waste your time. You won't be supported for advancement and they will lie to your face, then tell someone else something different.
Pros
Fun coworkers, direct supervisor was great.
Cons
Very minimal training and no standard operating procedures, hostile environment, no room to advance, not enough pay for amount of work put in, upper management says case managers are scum.

Psychological and Community Support Worker (Former Employee) –  Mexico, MOJune 4, 2016
This program was in a rural part of Mid-Missouri. This facility provided services in several school districts such as Psychological services as well as community health services through the local hospital.

I provided services to 10 male adolescents who had been referred by the school that these boys attended. I met with these boys at least once every week and met with their families. I also went to the school and met with the teachers. The goal was to insure that the boys were getting the services that they needed from the school and community health.

I worked two to three evenings per week at the local hospital and interviewed patients who were self referred or brought in by local law enforcement to assess their psychological status. If I determined that the patient was in need o admission and further evaluation, I would call the on call psychiatrist and consult with him. If we both determined thats the patient needed to be admitted to a facility, It was my responsibility to call all of the facilities in Missouri and in some cases Illinois and Iowa looking for a bed for this patient.
Pros
I got to see rural poverty which was new for me.
Cons
I had to use my own vehicle most ot the time which was hard on my car.
