Steering the ship Correctly.

I would not believe the negative reviews on here.

The company has gone a lot of change since it was bought in March 2015, with some big shake ups where there were some layoffs. Trimming unneeded management and employees, and bringing the company back into profitability. This has left some very disgruntled individuals. I sincerely believe the right individuals have left, and now the right people are here now. Making for a good atmosphere and an overly positive work environment. I'm almost rattled to see all the negative reviews here.

Negatives:
- Culture is fast paced, and sometimes does not have the procedures in place to know what to do in situations.

- Undergoing major process changes and in the process of getting FDA approved; a ton of work is going into this which is frustrating, and time consuming. Somewhat rewarding to go through, but hitting nerves with some people and making stress.

- Too much focus on bottom line $$ - People are being held responsible to actually work, and produce. No longer can just coast, which can be stressful. Need to bring the fun back into it, but their focus is elsewhere.

Positives:
- Management appears to have a clear vision. They have quarterly town hall meetings that actually tell us where and what they are doing now. This never ever happened before. Ignorance I guess is bliss though.

- Benefits I believe are good compared to other places I've been. No longer owned by a huge corporation (was owned by billion-dollar Amerisource, now privately), so there definitely has been a drop off, but if you look around
  more... at current comparables, what they offer is good.

-Company is going in the right direction, and there has been steady improvements along the way, more communication, more transparency, and more Flexibility.

This Place really went Downhill

ABC wasn't a bad place when it was owned by the corporation. Once sold it went into total craziness.

Agree with the low reviews here. Not going to add much more.

Poor management.
Micromanagement
Very low advancement opportunites unless you know someone.
Bennies very costly for ho hum services
Owned by an investor
Expected working hours are high
Very high stress
Poor Training

Expect demotions any time for no reason. This goes from management levels to floor workers.

Expect unrealistic goals and moving target expectations.

Expect to be belittled by management

Expect managers to fail and blame their team members.

Technology very old. hard to support and sell.

Don't believe the 'positive' management and HR BS posted here.

Don't be fooled by the management reviews that praise the place.

One of the worse backstabbing brutal places I have ever seen.

Policies are only practiced when they want to push someone out for a lower paying spot to open.

You will work tons of hours with no assist or atta boys unless you are in with the manager.

Its just crazy how they can still be in business. employees take bets on a quarterly basis to see if they will sell off or not soon.

A place of change

Company was owned by billion + company and now privately owned since 2015. That alone is a big change, but working to find our niche and create a different environment. Prior ownership made no investment for years and didn't manage the business. Tough decisions had to be made to reorganize and determine business focus. Excited about opportunities for Pharmacy 4.0.

A good company, had it's share of problems, but is now heading in a better direction.

I have worked with and at ARxIUM for 6 years now. First as a Sub-contractor, then as a full time employee. I have seen a recent change in leadership bring about a much better company attitude and vision. Changes are being made at the higher management levels, that are now starting to trickle down and improve the entire company. Day to day operations and customer relationships are starting to be prioritized again, bringing us back on track little-by-little.

I am very optimistic about the future of the company.

Stress filled. No real advancement spots. High cost of insurance

Poor culture. Orwellian in fact.

Poor management. Poor vision past the weeks profit.

Unsure of the future. Tech is old and needs updating

A Sinking Ship

I'm surprised the company is still operating
Their answer to the many serious problems they have is to hire more managers!
They lost some key technical people and are now completely
floundering
Their service is poor and getting worse - loosing more experienced people
they lost most of their sales force in the US last year, and they still keep the fool in charge of sales who caused this disaster.
I pity those that still work there. The only happy people about this is their competitors!

One of the poorest run companies I have ever witnessed. Loss of all the top talent in less than a year through attrition. A sweat shop is a better environment.

Foreign owners and managers are dismissive of anything American and Americans. Many times just outright insulting. Future goal seems to be to replace higher wage people with lower paid contractors and possibly sell it off. Technology is old and not competative.

I Dont Care What Anyone Says. Its Rough

This place has promised us upward mobility and vision since they walked in the door.

If it is such a great place, why have the best people left? Because of a work load that is unreasonable and poor managers. Not to mention pittance raises.

Another review site was FILLED with poor reviews but somehow they tend to disappear. The control freak mentality has gotten way out of hand and makes it a morale issue. They simply cannot retain anyone with the talent or drive needed to push this business. Which leaves us with substandard resources, or people who have been here for ten or twenty years and just don't want to give up a cush position.

It is a very chaotic place and moving up...well good luck. Small company, private, they can get away with about anything.

Technology has promise but will take A LOT to move into a competative business.
Cons
Misguided management. Reluctance to put money where it needs to be to be able to properly compete.

Interesting products, some good people. Lacking on how to handle existing upper management with bad history. Could use a whole new restructure of the upper management with new fresh blood. Stale culture still there. Real problems not getting to the top, real change will probably be very difficult. A self evaluation from the button all the way to the top might be the remedy.

Worse Place I Ever Worked

As stated earlier the company has gone through many changes over the years. But none as drastic or chaotic as the last acquisition.

Workload and management are beyond belief. Lack of resources, vision, solid management.

Almost all of the top talent is gone now. Competition is light years ahead in technology.

All of the top people refused to be over worked and treated like high school kids. Now they are gone. It gets to be a scary place.

I would be surprised if this place were a player in the industry at all within 18 months, but just my opinion.

Management may post positive reviews, the vast majority of employees and ex employees never will.

Poor management, total lack of resources, overworked to the limit. New owners have no clue about the industry.

Good people have been laid off or left.

No amount of pay ( its average) can make up for sleepless nights or being overworked like they do.

Fear rules the day.

Incompetent managers and a good ole boys club make advancement impossible.

If you are looking and somehow take a position...be prepared to sell your soul.

This was a good company when I joined over 10 years ago. Since then the company went through a number of General Managers. Each of them tried to grow the business, but they had to report to Amerisourcebergen corporate, who just did not understand this business and would not invest. The business just stagnated for years until Amerisourcebergen had no use for it and sold it to IHS out of Winnipeg. The new owners were either fooled or did not understand what they were getting into. The technology is sound, but dated and the new owners either don't have the cash to invest or don't want to invest in the products. The end result is unhappy customers and lost sales, which resulted in layoffs and skilled people leaving. The few replacement positions the new owners approved are all more junior and paying Winnipeg rates. The cost of living in Buffalo Grove is much higher than Winnipeg. A lot of the management left over the years and those that remain, manage by fear. There is no communication from the new owners. I think they just don't know what to do. I'd expect them to take their loss and sell the business again very soon.
