Nutrition Aide Villages on North McLean in 777 n mclean
on August 31, 2015
The day to day experience of working with residents and fulfilling their daily needs was very rewarding. The hours were 7am to 7pm. A typical day was to come in the morning and prepare that days breakfast. Once done serving breakfast you would wash dishes and clean to begin prep for the next meal.
Medical Assistant in Jacksonville, FL

Spent alot of tears and sweat during my team there, with no recognition. Advancement was not achievable I felt. Communication was the worst especially for the ones who were face to face with patients constantly. It would have been nice to be told when events were going to happen when a notice was sent out to patients but not to the staff. No consideration for their employees.

The COVID pandemic really confirmed for me that Ascension is a great place to work. We were paid 100% of our salary for all of our hours for the first several months of the pandemic when many other PT clinics in town were laying people off or decreasing salaries or hours. Even when the pay subsidies went away it was totally possible to get our full hours by helping in other locations and capacities. The pay may not be as high as some other clinics but we have good benefits and the fact that we kept our hours, pay and jobs over the past couple of years was amazing. We are able to spend time with our patients to give them quality care and therapists see fewer patients in a day than many other clinics in town. I like that our mission is to care for the poor and the vulnerable and we are able to care for people who really need it and can't get care anywhere else.
IT Manager in United States

For almost 2 years Ascension Technologies has laid off and outsourced 1000s of knowledgeable IT staff for managed service providers based in India. With the recent departure of Network, telecom and Field service staff it has turned into a mess. For those of us left, trying to work within the incompetence of their partners is frustrating and somewhat halarious to watch as the ship sinks. Management does not understand the technical and hands-on requirement of many of the IT jobs needed to run a hospital. I foresee a major failure in this entire transition.

I’m the ER run by this company. Very high volume. Coworkers are all awesome, but the common gripe is how bureaucratic it is. Upper management sucks. All about the bottom dollar here.
