Dental Hygienist in Texas
on July 29, 2022
I was a hygienist at a very busy Aspen office. A lot of work is expected of you and can be very stressful. Will start you at a pretty basic hourly income and will tell you you’ll make a lot of bonus money that will add on. Not necessarily true as you have to see a lot of high dollar patients to get that. Very short appointment times as well as having to leave the room anywhere from 1-3 times during each cleaning to do new patient evaluations(perio charting and explaining what cleaning each new patient needs) For hygiene patients you will have to seat them, take X-rays, clean room, perio chart alone, etc. Not much help with any of the small tasks.I was at Aspen for 2 years. I had a different job offered to me and I let Aspen know and asked if they wanted to counter offer, they posted a job on indeed for more money than I was making before even replying to me.Was told by someone in upper management that I didn’t have hustle, while I was seeing anywhere from 10-12 cleanings and 7-10 new patients per 9 hour shift.Stayed as long as I did because it was my first hygiene job. Would not recommend.
Manager in Tennessee

If you are married, have kids, enjoy life. Do not work here. Don’t recommend friends or family to get dental work there either. You will work your life away and it will never be good enough.
Scheduling Agent in Raleigh, NC
on August 6, 2022
My overall review is that aspen dental is a great place to work since I'm a remote scheduling agent. Having my Webcam on takes some getting use too but that's a minor issue for me. The training is good as well.
Owner Dentist in Missouri

Work/life balance is almost impossible but you can make good money if you work for productive office. Every office has different owner and manager and they all run differently. You need to find the right fit for right people

As a dentist regret working for a company that all they care about is money not patient well-being. I encourage new dentist to be careful before accepting any offer from Aspen Dental
