Preaches this special "Atomic culture" but its all a marketing scheme

The biggest draw for someone to work here is because they say they're different, they value people above profit and they have this awesome "atomic culture" in their diverse and accepting "atomic family." Who doesn't want that? i certainly was sold. They have a killer website and in a time when people care more about what a workplace can offer them, this seems like a good bet. You do deserve good culture, fair and equal pay, value of work life balance and good benefits. I only write this because this company says they offer this, but they simply don't. I'm really sorry to say, but its all talk. They will follow through on just enough to convince you that they're the real deal, but it couldn't be farther from that. How long do you want to wait for them to make good on their promises?Then theres their "one of a kind culture." They don't want you to be yourself. They want you to be exactly the person they need to fit into their "family" and if you don't walk and talk like them, if you question something, you're gently herded back into line with the other sheep or told to get off the island.When theres a group outcry about an issue, they will tell you for months that they're working on it, but the solution will never come if it costs the company money. Speaking of money, welcome to deep pay inequality for people doing the same job. They will nickel and dime you in the hiring process if they can and proceed to encourage you never to talk about your salary or bonuses, if you did, you'd find out some managers has vastly different salaries and so do the GMs. Some managers make as much as a GM. They will hire someone new at 20k more than someone who they promote internally. Then they train you to be exactly like them and send you off. I worked there for a long time and they can hardly keep new hires in the door more than 6 months. I finally said enough, there are plenty of companies being more progressive and truly adopting an employee first mindset. Yeah, atomic will throw a few parties a year, but would you rather party with your coworkers or make enough money and have enough PTO to go on a solid trip with your family once a year and be able to afford a comfortable life in the meantime?We all sell our time in exchange for a quality of life.Save yourself precious time and look elsewhere.

the people are awesome

the team/management staff is great! it’s all morning shifts at the stanley location but you’re off at 3 or 4pm and can enjoy the rest of your day. all in all it’s a pretty decent place to work, no tip pool!

Phony managers but great food

Manager’s are phony but there’s 2 that stand out that are very phony. (The other managers are fine though) They will make you cry if you don’t do what you’re supposed to be doing even when it’s not your fault. The people that work there were cool. The food is great though. But overall managers are fake , and like I said 2 of them stand out so well to be super fake. “We are all a family” is funny to me, because that’s what they stand on.

This is a great work environment where everyone feels like family.

Working at atomic has been really great in the time that I’ve been here. It’s a fun place to work as everyone is family. We get busy so it can be stressful but it’s always manageable.
